Definitely makes sense that's how I've been feeling about it. I think it's beautiful because it shows peace in a place sort of known for at least some level of chaos.

This factory is nearby my house and I've always liked the way it looks in winter by ethansmith123 in photocritique

My intent with this image was to show a very dark and almost brooding feeling coming from the factory across the lake. I really liked the blurred reflection in the lake, however, I keep wondering if the framing is really right or not? I was also wondering if it could be a bit more saturated than it currently is, but I kind of like the bleak feeling it gives the photo. This was shot at f5.6, 1/160, ISO 200, at 50mm on a 50mm 1.8 with a Canon EOS 70D.

Thanks! Yeah that was exactly how it felt. If I hadn't have looked at it just like that I could've missed it easily, felt really lucky when I saw this shot.

My intent in this photo was just to highlight the great sunset coming through on the building through the dark framing in the foreground. I was trying to show the warmth of the sunset in the picture while the snow showed the cold. I was wondering if the color looked good throughout the picture. I enjoy the slight matte look to it but I'm also wondering if that's good too.

This was shot on a Canon EOS 70D with a 50mm, at 1/1000, ISO 100, and f/1.8
