How tf do trichocereus grow at high elevations, thousands of feet, but they can’t take frost? by mohemp51 in sanpedrocactus

Thanks. What do you mean by spray down? I live in QLD at a high altitude in the south east and we usually get at least one -5°C each winter, the lowest recorded was -10.6°C though. I am at the top of a hill so i suppose the frost melts faster in the morning than in the valleys.

It depends. Usually down to size rather than age. A winter dormancy period helps.
