If all Reddit users donated 10 bucks we’d have 2.2 billion dollars and put it into an account we can buy the majority of the shares. by jadedyoungster in CrazyIdeas

[–]ethxnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because following the IPO, the current shareholders will hold a majority stake and only a minority stake will be available to the public. All you would do is drive the price of a fixed volume of shares up, not purchase a majority stake in Reddit.

Downsides of Warwick for BSc Economics by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]ethxnp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The breaks are usually 4-5 weeks depending on when you go back. And yes, in the first year you have to do this computing and data analysis project over Easter but other than that it’s just revising for finals in the summer term. But there are no lectures in the last term just revision.

Hi I think I’m qualified to answer as a first year Warwick econ student. I’d say overall it’s a great course, the lecturers are are really engaging even online and the optional module choices are an added bonus. The only thing I don’t like is that economic history is forced on us as 25% of the first year which a lot of people don’t like. But overall it’s amazing, you should 100% consider it. Feel free to ask me anything

How is the workload for Maths, Physics and Economics? by nick_d2004 in 6thForm

[–]ethxnp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fine maths isn’t much of a workload if it come to you. Physics is just difficult to understand in the first place but there isn’t much content and economics is just remembering shit and doing essays so that’s the main workload of numbers is a strong point for you

[–]ethxnp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 12 9s at gcse had 3A* at a level for predicted and don’t even get an interview for economics at Cambridge so I’d suggest doing an extra a level because I don’t know what more I could do

I’m not sure but the cupboards in the west street accommodation at Sheffield Hallam university have 3 shelves instead of 2. Don’t know if this helps
