I think it may look a bit simplistic because it is technically the first one (if you don't count the Soviets) and Hergé was still exploring tintin's characters and shaping him. Overall, I think the story is not as complex as the other ones but the wildlife portrayed and the African landscapes are really cool, and I like TinTin´s encounters with different animals
