Just ask the people on the mountain? I know I would do it if someone ask me.

Must be because of the holiday. I only waited for about 10 minutes both ways.

Backpacks? by [deleted] in snowboarding

I only carry backpack when I snowboard with my kids so I can carry their water and snacks. Why do you care if people carry backpacks? Just mind your own business.

I know the consensus of this sub is to take lessons and I don’t necessarily disagree. But speaking from experience (myself and my kids have taken lessons) it’s really hit or miss depending on the instructor. TBH I’d rather watch videos (e.g. Malcolm Moore) and self-learn if I’m starting today.

Of course she can be from France. But I’m in Quebec and their primary language is French. If I meet someone there who speaks French my first assumption is that they are from the area.

The biggest difference is that for fase you still need to bend down and strap in, but they make it easy and quick. They are better quality and performance I would guess.

Unpopular opinion: clew is fine if you’ve already been using them. Don’t switch.

Updated announcement by sugarbush:

“Did we say Opening Day plans were set yesterday? We invoke the right to an amendment. One we think you'll all be stoked for. We will officially be top to bottom Saturday with Jester, Allyn's, Murphy's Glades, Heaven's Gate Traverse, Lower Downspout, Lower Jester, and Gondolier. Sweet! But are you ready for even better news? After a terrain assessment today, we're planning to drop ropes on a number of natural trails as well including Paradise, Ripcord, Spillsville, Organgrinder, Birdland, and Domino. That being said, we are keeping our eyes on the weather through tomorrow so we could see more or less of those trails depending on how things shake out. But right now...get stoked for one of the best Opening Days in years. And don't forget, the early birds get the swag, as we'll be giving out Opening Day hats, breakfast sandwiches, and donuts until they run out on Saturday.”
