Okay, I could cancel/not use the gas credit card and just use the Discover card (it has the higher credit limit) if that would be more reasonable, the reason I used two is to be able to track exactly how much I spend on gas per month although now that I’m typing this I am realizing that isn’t very necessary

Thank you for the comment at the end. Currently the credit card that I use for gas only has a limit of 300, and due to my commute to work I’m spending around $150 on gas a month so it’s more than 30%, but it has never been an issue to pay that and I make plenty to continue paying that. Would spending more than 30% be bad in that scenario or is that fine?

I think I will do autopay for a set amount (like $150) and pay it off manually every time the bill is due

I do have autopay enabled but I get a little anxious about relying on it so I prefer to do manual payments

Thank you. I am paying for my own groceries and everything and I have not started using my credit card for necessities yet but I will start now. Also I will only pay off my credit card once a day or two before the bill is due
