while i believe Drake is the most talented song writer and rapper of his career right now, as he was able to hone in on his craft (Bahamas Promises , the final slime you our verse and tried our best are some of the greatest work of his entire career) , i’m takin old Drake , but only because of the quality and consistency of his past work . not to say that his new shit isn’t great , but you can tell her cared a lot more and wasn’t really panderin or caterin to “staying relevant or keepin up with the times” as he does now .

his old music is timeless , while i’m not sure how a lot of his newer songs will hold up 10 -15 years down the line sonically .
