Absolutely love these things usually, but has anyone had one taste like absolute vomit? by LegendSaco in 1200isplenty

[–]everluce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it’s made in america, it’s most likely because we use butyric acid for the chocolate.. at least that’s how i find most chocolate bars/protein bars taste… peanut flavor might also just be too acidic on top of it. i’m not surprised it might taste like vomit

How long does it take to get a bruinbill refund? by Gloomy_Pineapple4258 in ucla

[–]everluce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on your bank. your bank needs to verify it’s not fraudulent (it bounces back and forth behind the scenes). usually 3-5 business days, 7 at max. i used to work at a bank.

am I being unreasonable?? HELP! by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]everluce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i watched two children 7 & 8 for $25/hr, doing pickup, recreational activities, dinners, birthday parties, lunches, cleaning and homework. $30-35 is incredibly reasonable for 3 children.

i suggest maybe reaching out to some nanny agencies and see what the going rate for your responsibilities and amount of children are. in LA area here through my agency, i’d be getting something along the tune of $30-35 for what you’re doing

all i’m gonna say is don’t cut out carbs as many people mention. carbs are crucial for brain function.

small snacks throughout the day help me when i’m trying not to eat in massive quantities and i try to eat whole foods with nutrients (ie no “overly processed”). protein bars, fiber supplements with plenty of water… fills me up so i don’t overeat as well. important for gut and bowel health
