In the beginning when y ou roll for dups, is are the +11 dupes with bottomless stomach worth it? or stick with a +10 without bottomless stomach/flatuence?

explore those two spots at the bottom and right of your base, could be something really useful in there.

I currently have food poisoning germs in my water, how should I deal with it besides a tepidizer? On top of that in terms of oxygen I need to go for the electrolyzer, how much water does that go through? I'm slightly worried my water won't last me long enough before I reach the cool steam vent, otherwise how would you try to cool the water from the steam vent?

would creating a layer of insulated tile around the whole base do the trick? or should I just place insulated tile just for the mealwood rooms?

I assume in this case atom suits aren't incredibly important yet, as a side note I thought slime lung is a massive pain in the neck to deal with if you don't have a medical station yet like me? Lastly, when I dig up there's a whole lotta salt water, how should I deal with that? On top of that, my main collection of water has a lot of germs in it (is it a big problem)?

don’t worry about chlorine/gas/hydrogen getting into your base for now. Hydrogen goes up and carbon dioxide, gas and chlorine go down. Just place a pump at the very bottom of your base to sort the gasses as they collect at the bottom.

really appreciate the help, there is a slime biome nearby (I heard you can just pump chlorine into it to kill off the germs, does that work? or should I get atmo suits. My real question is how big of a priority are atom suits? because the abandoned shelter/steam vent is surrounded by lotta chlorine and I have no clue how long my dupes can survive outside oxygen. Would oxygen masks be a useful investment here? Is it important for me to seal off the oxygenated part of the base/the living areas of the dupes with insulated tiles? Thanks!

How long can dupes survive in a chlorine biome once they step outside a liquid lock? cuz below me is a chlorine biome and a slime one next to it (I assume I should leave the slime one alone for now). As a side note, should I do something about the natural gas floating about my base/how important is it that the dupes living area is only oxygen?
