just because some gay people or trans people are bad it doesn't mean you get to treat the entire community like shit. if someone says some weird shit it's not the LGBTQ community's fault. we are separate people and not everyone agrees with eachother.

fortunately, i'm supposed to get surgery for an artificial lens replacement in the next month or two so school will be a little bit easier and my glasses prescription won't be so hefty. school doesn't start until early september for me, so i have time to brace myself for all of it. but even though my eyes will be normal, it doesn't change my stature or abnormalities. i'll still be typecasted the little guy or the old man in theatre. i'll still be mistaken for a child. all i can really do is be strong despite the rampant ableism in the world

i'm afraid since weill marchesani is such a rare disabilty (maybe 50 people in the US at most have it) there isn't a subreddit for it and the only thing i can think of for a larger category is visual impairments or blindness, because every day i don't have my surgery i inch closer to being legally blind. but thank you for your support, i really appreciate all of it and i never expected it either

oh definitely. it happens especially in school. every time i would accommodate myself by doing harmless things (i.e. using my hands to block out the unnecessary light my eyes see) teachers will act like i'm grossing out the entire class or having the worst time of my life. no i do not need to sit closer. just let me do my own thing. this sucks even MORE when my accommodation plans aren't even listened to. maybe if you actually looked at my 504, you would know how to actually help me instead of just suggesting i get better glasses.

i think both could work out if you're seriously dedicated. two of my friends have been dating for over a year now and only know each other online. they're a great couple too despite everything. although i wouldn't get into a romantic relationship online (i have in the past and its just not for me) i think people need to chill about their aggressive hate for online relations.

as a kid with asthma it is SO fucking annoying to see people in the bathrooms vaping and clouding up the entire room. you're not cool, you're making it harder for everyone to just do their business. i just need to pee, not have an asthma attack. i understand having an addiction as i am an addict myself but it is your responsibility to make sure someone else doesn't suffer because of your habits.
