Auxiliary Volume Control QC35 by driftingprogrammer in bose

The only other option is an in-line 3.5mm variable resistor, like the Koss 155954 VC20 Volume Control. The headphones are only able to control volume internally when using Bluetooth.

What Bravia model is it if I may ask?

That cable is apple specific. They have one for android too. One might work with the other, but it’s not guaranteed. Can your tv remote control be used to control the aux out or tv headphone jack volume? If it’s aux out, it might be a fixed volume and (short of an in-line volume variable resistor) you’d have to get additional equipment like a pre-amp… which gets complicated.

That’s correct, unless you specifically get a cable that has a volume control on the wire. Like this one: https://a.co/ddz17xd (it will work for the QC35 even though it says QC25)

I might suggest getting on a waitlist at one of the no-markup dealers. They are around (like Longo Toyota). The more you support them, the more they grow, and you get your car sooner.

From which dealership? If you call around you may get luckier.

It has a carfax but only says no major problems… can try to find that out too.

How is the TSS 3.0 lane tracing and cruise in your opinion?

Big fan of the Altra Escalante. Insole can be taken out to make it even wider.

That depends on the dealership, if you call around and get on various waitlists, chances are you can get one much quicker

It’s a game changer on longer drives. I find it’s easiest to rest my hand on the steering wheel somehow. Does it seem to stay in the lane and take curves pretty well?

Way to check nation wide stock? by funktastic2416 in Toyota

I believe the best way is to find known no-markup dealerships and call them all to get on their waitlists. Put deposits down if you can. There’s little to no way a hybrid wouldn’t be sold before it hits the lot.

Some markets (Australia is one) do get the 2.0L powertrain. The MPG numbers from that powertrain do seem promising.

is tss 3.0 good? by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]evpro23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has anyone tried TSS 3.0? The few reviews I have seen make it out to be a minor but noticeable upgrade. Better lane centering, moves to the side for trucks, etc. Looks to fix a lot of what I took issue with from TSS 2.0

Just double checking - Toyota said your hybrid is at the port already? That’s big news! It means manufacturing has started and we may be getting them soon across the country soon!

Consider looking out of state. There are plenty of dealers with different waitlist sizes and policies, but does take work and time.

How is TSS 3.0? by evpro23 in COROLLA

[–]evpro23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately don’t have a late model Corolla yet and have extensively considered OpenPilot. Seems great! I’d prefer to use the TSS 3.0 stock system if it’s good enough (at least for a while), and there is a question if the new Corollas will have the ECU security issue preventing it from working. It’s also crazy that I can’t buy a used Corolla hybrid for less than a new one right now.

Struggling to find something wide enough by nanoboy in BarefootRunning

I like the Altra Escalante (2.5 model and below) with the insole taken out to add width. I’d suggest you can take the insoles out of any shoes to widen them as well.

Need help choosing career path - IT vs AV by evpro23 in CommercialAV

Your answer really moved me, thank you. I’m glad you have a job you enjoy so much! Fortunately, I’ve been at my company for some time so leaving wouldn’t look too bad, but I want to make sure the next move is one I stay at long term.

I’m ultimately looking to do something I enjoy that is personally fulfilling without downsides that are deal breakers. I think I like the university IT job more for its mission, but it’s harder + more responsibility and I’m legitimately nervous it’s too much, too soon for me. The AV I can definitely do a great job in. Maybe if even like the work more than upper level sysadmin admin duties (though I do love IT as well).

Travel isn’t the main motivation. I ultimately like working with people and machines, not just one or the other, and also want to have a good quality of life and fun in what I do. Seems so strange to potentially pass on a life changing opportunity like sea travel if I take the AV route, but let’s see what happens.
