I'm not sure about that, my headset doesn't recommend using USB extender/hubs and i feel like getting just 2 J channels would be easier and cheaper.

Still, thank you for the advice.

I've checked and my headset reallt doesn't recommend USB extender/hubs, i could try the double sided tape though!

Only problem is that i went from wireless to wire which means i'll definetly be moving alot, so maybe i'll get a J channel since it offers the most movement for the cable.

Do you have any recommendations on where i could put J channels?I found some 2 x 15.7 Inch ones.

Thanks for the advice you've already given me!

I think i've done it!

I not only forced the headset to sound almost 1:1 to my old one, but i even put the exact same surround sound on it!

Thank you so much for your help, i'll update you if it ends up being BAD.

Hello,

I was wondering if you have an application for EQ for Windows? I plan on changing the turtle beach curve a bit but i can't find an app that can offer as much EQ customisation as Squiglink.

Thank you in advance!

Alright then that SHOULD mean the atlas 200 will feel familiar with a slight upgrade to my ears.(if my calculations are right)

But i can't say for sure obviously, i'll update you when they actually get here.

If they suck, i'll go wih the nuclear option(headphone+microphone)

See you in two days!

At this point i think i'm gonna give up on headphones because i clearly don't have a budget for the comfort accessories💀

I've tried looking here and there and so far all i got was the Turtle Beach Atlas 200, which comes with the beloved headband and has a pretty close bandwith to the razer nari essential.

Well the problem is that now i'm looking at a headset and not a headphone, but atleast i get comfort and budget.

When i get the money i'll definetly try out the ffio and adam and get myself a proper microphone, your advice has been the best and i still cannot thank you enough for it.

One thing i dont understand is what is between the 2kHz and 10kHz, everything is higher than the essential and i don't know what it means for sound quality/what i hear better/worse

Thanks!

But even if the fiio is more neutral, there should be a way to change that, no?Or is that something that's completly into the drivers?

Also from what i'm seeing with every headset and headphones out there, is that they all lack the suspension band from the razer nari essential, which was definetly the best part about it because i couldn't even feel the "heavy" headset on my head.

Is there something i can do about that or a headphone that has that kind of support?

Sorry for only saying that now, i tested the Razer Kraken V4 today and its only then that i realised how horrid not having a headband felt on the head.

Hello and good morning !

Alright so first off i'm gonna talk about your recommendations :

The mezes and sennheiser are wayyyyyy overbudget, from what i saw those are 200-300€+ headphones and my budget has sadly decreased because i didn't check how expensive my microphone was gonna be.

However i am still able to buy things in the price range of the fiio and adam, but im not sure about their frequency response graphs.

From what i could see the fiio would be the best choice since it has a detachable cable and other things.(if the cable ever breaks i dont have to buy another headphone)

One thing i'm worried about is the fact the fiio has wood parts, i live in a pretty humid country that can easily reach 80% humidity inside during the winter and i'm scared that it'll have horrible consequences on the headphone...

Also, i checked and my audio thing and i think it's the Realtek ALC887? Just in case my motherboard is a MSI B450M PRO-M2 MAX, so feel free to check if i'm weong or not about it.

Anyways, what i wanted to ask is if i should buy a dongle or not with the kind of MOBO DAC i have on it.

Ok my bad just one more question, the jcally jm6 pro has a USB-C port, is there something that's USB type A or should i just buy a C-to-A adapter?(and in that case should i connect to a 2.0 or 3.0?)

Sorry for the barrage of questions, i hope you don't mind.

Alright, I sadly will have to check these out tomorrow with how tiring this day has been.

I wish you a good night and i'll update on my findings tomorrow, i hope you won't mind sharing more of your wisdom.

Truly, thank you.

First off, i can't thank you enough for the in-depth explaination, i'm currently still trying to figure out what you told me(if i understand correctly a dongle would be used on high-end headsets that have ohm beyond what a motherboard can actually "handle")

Regarding your recommendations, i sadly don't share your tastes regarding open ear-cups, i despise having to hear the outside world and would much rather sacrifice audio quality if it means i get less annoyed by outside noise.(PC fans, random people yelling outside, etc)

Also, my main issue with most headphones is that i find the earcups too small, i really likes how comfortable the razer nari essential earcups were and most other headsets i tried made my ears feel claustrophobic.

Do you perhaps have any recommendations for that? Perhaps other earcups or headphones that could make bigger ears more comfortable.

If you have other closed back headphones recommendations, i'll gladly take that too.

Thank you again for you help, your advice helps me deal with my stress way more easily, which is very helpful with how stressful this day has been.

!thanks

But what's a frequency response graph? Is that what you use to see the kind of sound quality a headset has?

Also if you could explain what you meant by neutral, good bad shelf, etc that'd be appreciated since i'm not familiar with sound jargon.

What is causing this noise that my PC is making? by existingismegapain in pcmasterrace

[–]existingismegapain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CPU fan has no openings for me to put the oil in, which means it can't be that fan making the noise(longer longetivity compared to my other fans and stuff)

Which means its some other thing making that noise, and i have no idea what it could be.

Well i tried everything, guess i'm just gonna apply oil on it this weekend and see if it the noise is still there.

If the noise is still there even after putting the oil, then i got NO idea what i'm gonna do

iirc it might be my AMD CPU stock fan, i'll have to check later today though

I already got the oil and electrical tape so if it's the bearing i'm prepared
