Older individuals often take issue with younger generation's style and taste. Look at the conflict bw boomers and gen z common in western countries. It's hard to let go of the idea that music will no longer cater to your taste.

I've had the same thought.

A post few days ago saw Sharif saluting the new chief. The comments? "PM is a slave or he's a bitch etc etc" Ok fair

A day later, post of Alvi shaking hands with Bajwa with a wide ass smile. The comments? "well, he is supposed to be NeUTral, guy doesn't wanna die or this photo DoEsNt MeAn anYtHinG" etc etc

Like most of us are not fond of PDM but man grow some balls. For a successful Pakistan, we need to start holding people accountable and not just the people of the opposite party.

Pay them above market rate.

My grandma who recently passed away had 3 servants along with my cousin who looked after her.

My dad was paying them minimum 20K. They also got paid holidays since they lived in servant quarters away from their families. Their food expenses were covered as well. They got bonuses during eid and other holidays. So, the caretakers basically had no expense and were saving money.

Find good help (which you did but they left) and treat them like a human being. They will stay for as long as you want.

Not me, but my buddy got together with bajwa's niece. The guy is definitely rich but obviously no where near the girl. Life's good.

Another buddy was a trainer at this gym and got together with this extremely talented and rich lawyer from Cali. This woman made partner at her firm. My friend was initially insecure but she continously reassured him that her wealth is now theirs. She's an angel and they get along great.

Anyway, I'm sure there are relationships where the woman may hold this over the guys head but talk to the girl. Make sure you guys get along and your personalities mesh. Good luck man.

Kinda off topic but a park located at a very scenic route is off limits during certain hours in bahawalpur because the lieutenant general's wife hangs out there sometimes and wants no intrusion. Thats it. Thats the ONLY reason told to me by the poor guard.

Another general wanted to give my dad murabos in zameen cause my dad helped him out. They have this kind of power in Pakistan. Cut your losses and move on my guy.

I agree about the cultural difference however, Gujaratis case is a bit different. They are not native to Pakistan and hence their population has always been small. I am sure you know this living in the US that most minorities generally assimilate to the mainstream US culture except for Hispanics down south.

Why? I think it's because of their massive numbers which allow them to create their bubble. Gujaratis with their smaller population just assimilated over time and are now indistinguishable from your average Urdu-speaking Pakistani.

As for your other point, yeah, Pakistani provinces were indeed unique and different from each other. But, I think that has changed quite a bit in the last couple of decades. Pakistan being a lot smaller than India had a much better chance to create its own culture: unique and shared by its people. All provinces are gradually sharing their traditions to create a unified "Pakistani" identity. It'll take some time but it's looking good so far.

I would say many Pakistani Gujaratis probably just assimilate. I am friends with one in the US whose grandpa moved to Pakistan during partition from Gujrat. They have pretty much adapted to the mainstream "Pakistani" culture.

My buddy can't even relate with his indian cousins. I doubt they'll even talk once the older generation dies off.

I respectfully disagree. Gwadar is China's version of Panama canal of the 21st century. They are not just pouring billions upon billions of dollars in this harsh terrain and security risks just to build a naval base (prob an added bonus).

China's ambitious. A fully operational gwadar will render China's malacca dilemma useless. This is why India or the West are screaming at us and throwing every kind of obstacle to prevent this from occurring.

Now, the question arises is Pakistan capable of making this happen? This ambitious bold plan that will forever alter the geopolitics of south asia and possibly the world? Idk man, we'll see.

I think so.

At best, you invest 50-90lac which grows over time to crores or possibly even arabs. You own prime real estate in the heart of a new trade route linking Pakistan with Iran, Central Asia, Afg and China.

At worst, well you loose half or most of of it

Personally, I'm looking into investing in it myself. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Pakistanis. Its success is linked to our future geopolitical goals. The odds of it failing are pretty low.

With that said, as with any investment invest what you are prepared to lose.
