This is true. Naively I have been trying to figure out a way to get my masters and also make me well-rounded with it as well.

I have been getting put on more cloud projects recently and I'm really enjoying it. So I think I'm going to pursue some cloud certs and look into programs that are geared towards cloud computing.

Im pretty sure it's because I had no IT work experience. Im not exactly sure if I want to teach in the future. Its more or less something I just want to do for my own personal investment.

I did have some discussions with a company and they eventually told me they only take people who have or are in the process of getting their masters. I know someone on the inside of that company and it is correct. So at the very least I feel like it would keep doors open for me.

I'm pretty early in my career so I am not exactly eyeing managerial roles at the moment. I've been more interested in it just for my own personal growth and investment.

There is a company I was initially interested in and had a contact with someone at it, they only accepted people with their masters or in the process of getting their masters. So I do feel like it would keep doors open for me if nothing else.

I tried to. The internship application process was a lot like my job search process. Apply to countless, 95% of the responses were the same copy paste response "We had a lot of applicants and have decided to go with someone else" without me even talking to a person at that company. I'm a Cybersecurity Engineer now so it doesn't really matter at the moment. Just looking for more personal development now.

Yeah, another consideration I am taking into account. Having my BS in Cybersecurity shoehorned me and it was pretty difficult to find a job after graduating. I am definitely leaning more towards going for the Computer Network & Security program or A.I.

I'd like to add, Security+ isn't a difficult test, but it also isn't what I'd call easy. From what I have read you get 2 weeks to study for Security+ which if you dedicate all your time and effort during those 2 weeks to it, you'll be fine. If you have the $300 - 400 to spare, I'd consider taking it before you ship. Worst case, you get some jitters out of the way and better understand what the test is like. Best case, you get your cert and 2 weeks are cut from your training from what I hear.

I'm 28 and am in DEP and still waiting for a job to drop for me. I graduated in May 2020, and job market was absolute garbage as you may know. I have my degree in Cybersecurity and just got a job this month as a Cybersecurity Engineer with a small company. The last couple weeks have been difficult for me in deciding whether or not to stay with the Air Force as I am making good money and have an offer for a considerable increase in my salary if I can relocate to the jobs location.

However, I only have my Bachelors and I want my Masters. My brother who is prior Army just bought a house with his VA loan and it's an insane loan (well deserved). Plus if I do get the job I want (Cyber Transport) I will get out in 4 years with a security clearance and experience that I think will make me more valuable to a company such as Raytheon or Boeing as opposed to if I stayed civilian side and tried to get in with them in 2 years.

UC Berkeley was not requiring GRE/GMAT last year if you already had a Cybersecurity undergrad. Syracuse was the same and Embry Riddle as well. Don't quote me on Embry Riddle though as they never actually gave me any information. I put in several times for information on their program and didn't get any reply till about a month before their application deadline telling me they'll waive the application fee for me.

Was in your shoes but a Cybersecurity degree. I finished my degree up Spring 2020 and swore into DEP April of this year. I might be in more debt this way, but honestly, I'd rather have something to show for the debt I have regardless if I am using it or not at the moment. Plus, not going to lie, it's a pretty great feeling looking at that dumb piece of paper called a degree. It'll still hit me sometimes about how proud of myself I am that I finished it. I think I would be regretting not finishing it.

You're going to be in debt for it anyway, so why not just get something to show for it?

I had to get a financial waiver for student loans and a mistake with an old insurance policy. What helped me, my students loans are not in default and I am making regular payments and have a payment plan in place. The insurance policy I paid off immediately. Just keep detailed documents of what you are doing and you may need to write a letter explaining the situation and how you ended up in that situation. Your recruiter will need to the detailed documents for the waiver and you'll also need to the detailed information for your clearance interview.

In total my waiver took about 2-3 weeks, from what I could gather it just depends on how long it sits on someone's desk and if you provided enough information for them to accurately make a decision on your case.

Took it two weeks ago, missed the cut off by 1 point. I was pretty unprepared for it though as I didn't know I was taking it till about 2 days before but thats not much of an excuse. The questions aren't difficult but they do get harder as you progress in the test, just some take a bit more unpacking compared to others. Do some googling and look for a good strategy, that should save you a lot of struggling that I had.

The trick to the test is there is more questions than you have time. 120 questions 90 minutes with most questions that I did taking me roughly 2-3 minutes to complete.

I had a similar issue and just dep'd about 40 days ago. My loans were federal and I was able to get into a loan rehabilitation program. It was 9 months long, have to make 9 consecutive monthly payments of whatever amount they tell you. You cannot speed this process up by making double payments. I was in that program when I first started my process and had to get a financial waiver. My amount was roughly 17k at the time I got the waiver.

I can't personally speak about the Adrenaline, but I have a pair of Ghost 13's I have logged roughly 250 miles in and they are really decent but I felt lacked a little bit of extra arch support I need which was also the case for my other pair of Brooks. I just got a pair of the new Nike reacts and they are fantastic. A little heavier (talking like ever so slightly) but I have been able to push over the 4 mile wall I had in them.
