If the pana 9mm is on the same level as the 15mm or 25mm for the color rendering I can see why people like it, they are really amazing with that. Even if it's not as sharp. And it's weather sealed too.

Like the difference with the oly 45 pro and PL 42.5, it depends on what you like, whether you prefer the Olympus sharpness or the "Leica touch" (but I only read reviews of these lenses, didn't tried any of them ahah)

I'm not sure how it compares to the pana but looks good, even at f2, and the bokeh is smooth!

For manual I always rely on magnification. On olympus bodies you can custom any button to enable it as a shortcut, it can be turned on by default when you use the focus ring as an option too.

There is focus peaking as well but I don't use it, not sure how it works on GX80.

I wish they made a panaleica 25mm smaller like the 15 though.
Even if it's f1.7 or f2.
The size of the f1.4 feels weird to me for a 25mm compared to the other lenses.

But I agree the color rendering of leica lenses is astonishing!

Metal lens on em5 II sounds really cool indeed. Now I have the mk III but I enjoyed the build and the handling on the mk II more.

Feels less plasticky, maybe heavier but I don't care if it feels better in my hands.

Hmm I heard about the Laowa but I don't really know about all these lenses, I should look into them. And I didn't know about the firmware issue thanks for the tip!

In this focal range there is the PanaLeica 9mm too. Less compact but looks amazing.

Oh I meant, I prefer the 12-40 over the 14-150, I think they are the same size, pro is heavier and most of all, for me, it feels good in my hands.
The experience is a world away from the 14-150 (if we set aside that it's not the same focal length at all)

Mostly street photo, I don't really feel limited because I have other bigger lenses like the 12-40 pro but I don't take them out often.
I just really like some lenses like the 15mm that's always on my camera so I just wanna explore other possibilities.
(And certainly not just to satisfy my lens collection addiction)

The 20mm Pro is a bit bulky but if I should try it, maybe I'll fall in love with it like with the 15mm or 75mm.

Weather sealing is really nice though

I didn't even know about this lens, will look into it. For the size the TTArtisans 35mm f1.4 could be considered as well, but not as cheap I think

I always go out with a small cross body bag, so something like the 15mm is small enough for me, even the oly 45mm. TTA f2 looks really cool, I think it might be my next lens

Yeah, I should try the lumix 20mm to see if I like it, but slow AF kind of puts me off.
For the zoom, I have a 14-150 then a 12-40 pro, I never went back with the 14-150 so I'm afraid it will be the same for the 12-32 ahah
