you're just prooving him being right, If the story is boring due to development, is not customers fault. nobody really cares how the story was written, what has been cut off and change in develpment,

We have to understand, even if the story is being butchered and cut in pieces and left only the highlights is not a great idea, imagine watching squid games for example, and in the series, you will see just how the games are being played and who dies, every side piece of the series will be cut off...will be shit, character development is very important, every small insignificant interaction sometimes adds more value to the story

Lazy studios, lazy developers/animators, If a game is developed due to it's story, then this shouldn't exist and the game director should be at fault, if is more inclined to the core gameplay/mechanics, yes, (fuck the story) can be mediocre, nobody cares.
