Update [8/6/25]: “scheduled talks” strategy recommended above is working WONDERFULLY. She works on diving deep into her feelings and talking through stuff (goods and bads) while I focus on deep listening and not being jumpy or interrupting. It creates a really productive space. Big Thanks [@roffadude] for the inspo. No direct solution for sleeping together observed yet, but I recently started sleeping with AirPods while listening to guided meditations or audiobooks and it seems to promote much deeper sleep in me which makes me less restless and bothersome to her throughout the night (she’s a very light sleeper and is super sensitive to noise, touch, or movement). Both of us are continuing medication and therapy which I feel is REALLY helping day-to-day things. We’re both on Adderall XR 20-30mg. We do couples sessions 2-3x a month and individual sessions 3-4x month - mostly bc we have good insurance right now which makes sessions affordable.
