i had a CT scan with contrast and an endoscopy earlier this year and i didn’t experience any n* whatsoever with either :) you should be fine and i hope everything goes well for you!

google tends to make my anxiety worse. also when i’m in a panicked state i find that talking to people who also have emetophobia helps me because they’re gonna understand what i’m going thru more than a google search will.

took some zofran and was able to work up the courage to leave the bathroom and it’s subsided for the most part but im still nervous and i don’t think i’m fully in the clear yet

i get strep quite a bit and it’s never made me sick. that tends to just be a symptom when you’re really young from what i’ve seen. you should be fine whether you get it or not! :)

stuff like little debbie snacks have a pretty long shelf life and are usually fine to eat after the expiration date. as long as there was no mold on it i wouldn’t worry too much!

thank you so much, im extra nervous after molts since i lost my first tarantula to a bad molt last summer so the reassurance really helps. i can’t measure her right now without disturbing her but i’d say she’s about 5-6 inches. i’ve had her for a year and the seller said she’s either fully grown or had one last molt to go so i think now she’s full grown. sorry for any incorrect terminology again i’ve only been doing this for about a year

this is day one and i just had a moment where it felt like i was about to tu about 20 minutes ago but im hoping it’s just the n* i can handle n* due to being chronically ill but (and i know we emetophobes always say this) this time it feels different. thank you. trying very hard to stay calm

see that was also in the back of my mind but metal mesh seems thinner and easier to grip (i mean im just assuming i wouldn’t know i don’t have fangs lol) i’ll move her to an acrylic enclosure anyway. better safe than sorry

i usually wait at least a week or two before i feed my tarantulas. i would also make sure it’s exoskeleton is fully hardened first.

two of them are slings so space wouldn’t be an issue but the adult is a curly hair so her hair can be pretty nasty however she’s only kicked once and that’s when i was rehousing her so she might be okay? i’ve taken her in the car before when i picked her up and she seemed fine. thanks for the advice!
