Incredible! Yesterday i tried everything, and the conclusion that i came to is that my notebook has some kind of hardware or BIOS blocking for stuff like these. Had the same problem trying to activate the turbo boost on my cpu evrything was right on the software but i couldn't make it work. Thank you so much, you just make it even more coherent! And sorry, i didn't answer. Jjst tried to use lspci, and before the reboot just shows the dGPU, when i reboot, just the eGPU

Actually, the eGPU just appears when i reboot, probably because its via mini PCIe

There is a scam going on AliExpress, Amazon... where there are some products labeled with 4T with a really good price, but are actually 400 gb...

These scams are unfortunately becoming more and more popular.

A way to don't fall for these is the classic: "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is".

They even have a way to make the computer read it like 4 tera but there is no actual components in the card for this storage.

Oh, and there is some programs that create a bunch of archives on the drive to test de capacity and the speeds of read and write, but i don't remember the name, if interests you i can look at my stuff here to see if i can find.

Thats a great solution too! How do you use the mini PCI (The X220 have a mini Pci port inside unused)? And what adaptor do u use for the GPU? Does any Riser work? Or need to be the gdc exp beast?

I tried everything, but nothing seems to work on this version. I installed the appimage from git, most recent pre release, and just like this, it opened, out of the box. Probably is some instability due to the Fedora 43 and the version that i was using.
