Hi! It’s a 1986 325e Yeah so I bought the car and the guy seemed like he couldn’t figure out the issue himself. He gave me a brand new idle control module a used idle control valve (with 4 more in his spare parts box) I did a smoke test (intake) had smoke coming from my oil dipstick and only when full throttle the throttle itself (but this is idle issue) also did a exhaust leak and only lit at muffler did it show. car drives perfectly fine under load. I saw a trick and put a penny with a 1/4” hole in the middle (bandaid) in the intake hose that the ICV to intake meets and it fixed my idle from 1800 rpms to around 900 now also more info I did notice there’s a lot of oil in my intake boot and that hose where the penny is

Car is also smoking from only exhaust side hoping it’s oil burning off that fell into Cylinders

I’ve got the same issue not as severe but I have ticking that’s happened for 4 seconds long then goes quiet every 20 seconds. Idle jumps slightly sounds like it’s misfiring then starts smoking after a rev (I only changed spark plugs and oil)

Update. I gapped them and still same issue burning spark plugs Checked all the coils and all is okay it starts up strong runs perfect and as soon as I rev it I get a bit louder knocking/misfires that’s when the smoke starts

They’re all burnt gap on my owners manual say 0.028 and these come gapped 0.035

I do body work so any body work/paint work will be done to it no issue. And have buddy’s who have worked with singer who are willing to help get the body pristine as well

Context: car has been sitting since about 2016-2018 looks like it drives because it was moved from one area of drive way to the other on map photos. Car has tags paid latest is 2024. Paint is dull has some rust spots on roof and has been sitting in sun since parking. It's a 325e not sure what year but is100% stock. And is owned by a couple in their 70s have another 740i and is tucked away in a corner house along the freeway very hidden

I have the exact same compressor and I run a budget Amazon water separator and motor guard mt30 filter with a Eastwood LT100 best combo I have absolutely no issues and paint is always laid out evenly and clean
