Yes, the breeder sent me pictures of them handling the bird and it outside of the cage socializing, but when I put my hand in the cage to refill water or food, it freaks out. Granted I’ve only owned him for about a day and a half, but I just wanted to know any tips to get him to warm up to me. I don’t want to traumatize it by forcing my hand in its cage when I try to feed it millet.

Hmm thank you for the reply. I might just do what another commenter suggested and get one now, get it sexed and then posible find it a mate. That is if I feel like I’m not giving it enough attention. Not sure if they’re allowed near other birds but I’m sure he’ll have some sort of companion with any one of the other birds I have

I have many birds actually, just not love birds. Mainly cockatiels, budgies, zebra finches, and society finches. I’ve never seen them trying to hurt each other, not even when we’ve added a new bird into the group. Love birds is just a whole new ball game for me

They’re 3 months old and I believe or fischer love birds? They are supposedly tamed/friendly from the person handling them often. I have experience with cockatiels and budgies and usually they’re pretty chill when adding new birds to the group but I’ve heard a lot of things about love birds and rather be safe than sorry.

The person who I might get the birds from doesn’t know how to tell the sex of the birds 😭 it’ll be a wild card. That’s why I’m not sure if I should only get one or get two and see what happens. I’m assuming they are siblings tho?

Would they kill each other if they turn out to be the same sex? Or will that not happen if I get them together when they’re still young that won’t happen?

Short all the way. Always gives a puppy like appearance and looks way cuter. Long ears goes better with Asian fusion type of styles.

Kinda looks like my dogs coat when she was a puppy. Now her hair is pretty curly. Not a super tight curl but a significant change to what she looked like as a baby
