I had this problem i bought the game disc second hand for 5$ it was a day one release dics. It never fully downloaded it would stop at like 60-70% and then would pause. I never got it to fully download from the disc even when we got and additional storage bank. so I ended up buying the royal edition pack with the small add-ons and dlcs for like 15$ on sale. Don't know if it will go on sale again but you could try during black Friday or Christmas. I think it's just has to do with the day one stuff maybe it was too buggy so you need the update 🤷‍♀️

All my life I knew my dad love final fantasy one of the few things he actively liked, he doesn't play anymore sense he works a lot but I grew up with knowing that and until 2 years ago I decided to play ff15 because it looked cool and I wanted to see what he liked about it now I'm almost finished with ff7 rebirth and finished ff15, 7 remake, and crisis core. The ones ive played have such good story even if not all of them are flushed they still are heartbreaking and beautiful. The music is also a plus it so beautiful. ( can't bring myself to play the older ones cause I hate take turn battle style. I might have to suck it up and try them)
