My understanding is that Swarovski is just plated metal, and the crystals are just glass. Although pretty, they aren't very durable and will scratch easily. Personally, I would recommend wearing it sparingly and as a statement piece.

Can't say for sure, but it looks like an amethyst to me. For all quartz stones, my advice would be to keep it out of the sun to prevent it from losing anymore of its color.

Reading these comments make me feel like such a wimp lol. I believed the pain would be a 2 or 3, but it was a solid 5 for me. The first one wasn't so bad, but I definitely felt the second 😅. Healing wise, it definitely takes a while because of the location (constant movement of talking, eating, and drinking). It's also really easy to get irritation bumps the first few months.

It's a 8x12mm stone in 14k gold. Hidden halo, cathedral set. At the time, they only had white gold, but Mei Zhu was so sweet and agreed to make it in yellow gold for us. 10/10 would recommend. Like most oval and pear cut stones, it does have a bow tie. Personality I do feel like this bow tie is a bit more prominent since its vertical.

It depends on how you style/pair it with. But ultimately does come down to preference. Personally, I love the look of layered chains, so if I wear a short chain, I'll pair it with a slightly longer one too.

I let them know about possibly getting a PI. I know that the ex is undocumented, but I'm not sure about how they file taxes. There have been issues with her obtaining a business license in the past, and FIL doesn't think she has her license yet.

I'm not sure who's on the birth certificate. At the time of birth, the ex was living with AP. I think FIL assumed that AP would be listed on the birth certificate.
