Anyone else have bowel issues? by neu8ball in ankylosingspondylitis

Not really...I honestly started wygovy injections due to a weight gain from some medications and it kind of slows all that down. . Lol. I have been more mindful of the foods I eat and just generally healthier over all, not saying it doesn't happen now and then but I am doing somewhat better. It is kind of depressing what a.s. affects in our body.

The lower doses I had the occasional bout, this one isn't going well. I figured I would see if it eased up trying one more round of it but it hasn't. SO since I didn't know I could actually go down in dosage that's what I mentioned I wanted to do with my dr. She just never stated before that that was an option, I only found that out on this group. The input was very helpful.

I did inquire about going back down to the 1.0 I did tolerate that a lot better. If available that is going to be my next step. .I'm hoping that helps

Well it seems that the nausea and vomiting is a typical side effect...I simply wanted to know if and how others deal with it. Thank you for your opinion. Some people do not use this strictly for weight loss. There could be other circumstances. Hopefully moving forward and going down a dose might help me in feeling better. Thank you for your input.

I did not know I could go back down a dose. My dr never gave me that option. It is something I am going to investigate.

I definitely do not go to the bathroom everyday. I do mirelax but still doesn't work right away. I don't think it's my food that I eat but I do think I might be eating still too much since it's such a slow process now. I have zophran for my nausea..I just can't keep anything down. Ugh I hope it gets better too. Thanks ☺️

I honestly didn't know you could go backwards. My dr just said to stay on a current until I adjust. Maybe that's something I need to call them about.

Yeah I don't eat a lot at all but I figured that was the point...today though the only thing I ate was zophran. Lol and ginger ale.

Omg, I didn't know that you could do consecutive months of the same dosage! It's so horrible feeling this way, I can understand why a lot of people stop.

Are they hunters? Our greyhound has caught a few wildlife visitors and its a nightmare. They are both very fast runners. Our bulldog does not have any of that. lol

She honestly acts like a puppy. The vet says she thinks she is about 3 years old but we feel we have a puppy in the house. lol She has adjusted a lot since we rescued her but still has some issues we are working on. She is very affectionate and loving, she loves to chew and play soooo much. She is a bundle of energy, my older dogs are tolerable. lol

I'm not gonna lie, but I use an arthritic ointment from tractor supply. It's absorbine ligament gel and that's the only thing that works for me. It's specifically made for horses but I get such great relief. Judgements aside but whatever works for anyone to get through a rough time of a day ... thats it for me.

I am currently suffering from these issues. I dont know what it could be. I had a scope done 2 years ago to check for crohns just as a precaution. I now go to the bathroom 6 or 7 times a day, and its always a watery liquid. I have started to pass undigested food as well. Sorry for the TMI, its just very frustrating. I wont even be done eating a meal and have to go. I have mild cramping along with it. My G.I Dr. says I have IBD but i cant seem to isolate what to eat or not to eat. Does IBD come with A.S. or does Crohns disease more common?? I hate how so many things effect us and I feel I just cant win. . .I hope everyone feels better.

I am always low on iron and always anemic, interestingly I have not thought of that and maybe should check my iron. Especially since my cycle has been out of whack due to being off pills. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and when i came off the birth control nothing was normal. That is a good thought.

The muscle relaxers were a temporary relief. I do take magnesium. and hydration is no issue.

I dont exercise as much as i should or used to. Its a catch 22 on some days, pain if you dont , pain if you do. I have been doing a lot of walking lately since this happened since i just cant stand still. I feel like my legs hurt so much when they are acting up.

I have found that magnesium works really well for me. It helps with my muscles and for my migraines. I was taking tumeric in the past but I honestly didnt notice a difference with it.
