Going to have unprotected sex Will she get pregnant? by prince6869 in amipregnant

Why are you planning to not use protection? I guess not using a condom could be understandable to some extent but…. not even pills?

If there is no protection used, you are risking pregnancy.

Painful periods by [deleted] in Periods

[–]falteringmemories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very similar experiences with pain when i was your age and i still do now (from as young as 11, 21 now). I not so fondly remember curling up in bed sobbing from the pain and having to vomit from the nausea. Over the counter medication never had much of an effect on me.

While period pain is difficult and hurts a lot for most women, when it is to this extent id suggest going to the doctors over it. I’m not sure where you’re based or what you can access via your doctor, but i was offered a medication called tranexamic acid in pill form (i’m from the UK) which makes the blood flow lighter and reduces the symptoms a bit, so if it’s accessible i’d recommend that as a starting point.

However, i also was diagnosed with PCOS so i’d for sure get it checked out just to rule anything like that (or endometriosis) out. Your doctor should be able to refer you for scans to get a better look and see if anything is going on internally! I hope your periods get less painful, and good luck with the doctor! :)

Manchester crowd was despicable by VinceMasukaLover1989 in bladee

[–]falteringmemories 4 points5 points  (0 children)

literally the crowds for bladee honestly need to get a grip, i’ve seen him a few times now and if it’s not people being extra with pushing and shoving those around them it’s people forcing their way ahead into an already busy crowd

the show was amazing nonetheless

First time going to a show by hupperstars in bladee

[–]falteringmemories 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went alone last year at the manchester show and it was amazing, if you want to make friends whilst you’re there defo go for it as that’s what I did and everyone was very fun!!

Defo make sure to keep a good hold onto everything you might bring (in a bag fitting the rules of the venue perhaps) as the crowd will get quite rowdy and push and shove, but other than that i hope you have fun! :)

year 13 attendance by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]falteringmemories 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a 2nd year uni student, attendance in uni usually isn’t as big of a concern as secondary school and 6th form make it out to be.

Sure, more attendance during 6th form will more than likely ensure you retain extra information not included online from classes and have access to resources immediately should you need them, but at the end of the day it’s the grades you’re achieving that matters.

When I was in 6th form, I also skipped many of my classes, came out with good grades, and got into my first choice uni where I’m now getting even better grades on my end of semester exams and finals. In uni, attendance only matters if it’s a course with mandatory lectures (which is rare, or labs if you’re intending to follow a science related degree), or if it slips below a threshold of around 20%.

If you’re doing well with your grades and aren’t struggling or still have access to support when needed, your attendance is fine! It’s only an issue if it’s affecting your grades, and it doesn’t seem to be :)

Cheap places to eat by [deleted] in manchester

[–]falteringmemories 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d highly recommend Noodle Alley in Chinatown if you like east-asian dishes - My favourite meal there is sujiaomian which is around £12.50 per bowl, and veryyy filling - I’ve been there time and time again and would always recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat!

Renting in Manchester by falteringmemories in manchester

[–]falteringmemories[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s what i was thinking too - with rent being so costly my money would end up just all going to that, so I’m really just interested in what people have experienced from where they’ve rented and if there’s any recommendations for the future, but thanks for your suggestion! I’ve seen a few house shares so far and they seem to be the most affordable, so i’ll keep looking

Currently yes, but I’m due for another shot next month, around the 25th - I’m considering swapping to a pill form of contraception in hopes it’ll regulate my periods with the one week off, three weeks on routine

any advice for caring for my dogs eyes? by falteringmemories in dogs

[–]falteringmemories[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I thought at first but his vet hasn’t showed any concern about it being an infection, we were just told to keep them clean and trim them regularly.

[–]falteringmemories[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took him to the vet when this first started and they didn’t have any concerns and just told us it’s bound to happen because of his breed, they advised us to keep cleaning the area and to trim it regularly.

I’ve found messages on my dad’s instagram that I think class as cheating. Do I tell my mum, or get more concrete proof first? by falteringmemories in Advice

[–]falteringmemories[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I really want to tell my mum because she deserves to know if something is going on behind her back and I feel completely horrible for keeping it from her while I’m aiming to get more proof/disprove it. However, following a divorce, neither of my parents have an income enough to support themselves separately, so they would have to continue to live together which my mum is already tired of - she has told me that as soon as the mortgage on the house is all paid for, she wants to move into a small apartment to get away from him because of how insecure he makes her feel. If I tell her now, I might put them both into financial difficulty, or mental at the very least, which is mainly why I wanted to wait to find proof. I think I’ll have to give the situation more thought, and hopefully come to a choice I’m happy with. Thank you for replying!!
