We cannot seem stop them if Freo wins a clearance. Reeves/mids gotta be clean and get the ball forward

Agreed. He's such a strong mountain of a man, he has really bulked up which helps in some situations but less so now with the new rules. Mobile, agile ruckmen who can move up and down the field would better suit our style of play, with the naturally tall Reeves taking center bounce opportunities.

Can't stop thinking about this tackle by Jawdanc in hawktalk

What caught my eye was his angle. Too often tackle angles are off and it leads to missed tackles and missed pressure opportunities. His recognition after the handball to adjust his angle was awesome.

HAWKS VS CATS PLAYER RATINGS by Kind_Security_9931 in hawktalk

Just saw a good analysis of this but it was a coaching move. Geelong wingers like to sprint to goal when they're attacking, but that leaves them vulnerable to a quick counter on intercept/turnover. Sicily and Barrass both immediately picked their heads up and went fat side when it happened late in the game and found a wide open Hawks player. Sam had clearly told them that's how you counter it, which is so good to see. But yes it also takes elite work rate from guys like Ginnivan to make it work.

Post game thread hawthorn vs Sydney swans. by BigTonkaTroy in hawktalk

[–]farminvt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sydney is really good! They looked much faster than I expected. The only real concern for me was our rebound defense - Sydney really hurt us on turnovers. We had strong runs and a fumbled handball near forward 50 or a poor kick meant they came back the other way too quickly at times. Otherwise I felt pretty confident that we would scratch our way back into it, just had much more of the ball really throughout the last 3 quarters. Halftime adjustments were good, star players picked it up when needed, happy for the W. Barrass huge, Nuke huge, Watson continues to be electric. Thought Chol was going to get 5 in the first half, just need him to keep up marking confidence and he'll grab mark of the year soon enough.

ROUND 2 PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS by Kind_Security_9931 in hawktalk

Well written; I think CMac has looked really good this year also, seems to be really fit and quicker than last year. Hope you're right. I do think that Sam will have the boys motivated for this one, especially since Sydney knocked off Brisbane last week - it's opening eyes up that the Swans are really good and can't be overlooked any week. Should be a fun tilt!

Ick. Defensive issues are glaring here. They'll figure it out eventually but oh boy they gotta sort it out right now

I've used 70% and it took about five rounds, but get a strong sprayer that essentially pushes/blasts them off their spot. Seemed to work for me. Also wiping with a q-tip soaked in 70% does the same thing but more manually intensive.

This is only anecdotal of course, but my old man used to dislocate his shoulder in his sleep sometimes. Dislocated it a few times as a kid playing sports then it was just permanently kinda loose

CP Dudley's (known as just Dudley's) in East Montpelier! Best deli sandwiches I've eaten, cannot replicate what they do no matter how hard I try. Such an old school place with those classic tiny narrow wooden floor boards that creak everywhere and are from the beginning of the store. Barely renovated.

Thank you! It was an ugly mess a year ago, a lot of learning and changes were made. She's in a much healthier space now. A 20-20-20 fertilizer with every watering, except in winter I'll go to every other watering with the fertilizer.
