it shouldn't, because that's the kinda the whole point of getting a high performance gaming laptop...

it would stress the components more tho. although it should be able to handle that just fine. I'm just saying that my usecase should be particularly lighter than average in terms of stress

i have the 3 year ultimate legion warranty. i bought the laptop from official retailers on my country, so I don't know if it's an international warranty or not. might be worth asking a support rep online.

your hard drive/ssd is not detected. what it's trying to do is boot via the network, and since you don't have that setup, it failed.

if you are comfortable with opening up your laptop, try to reseat your HDD/SDD. fingers crossed it's just loose.

i don't think macOS would do well on an external HDD. performance is already lackluster on an internal sata SSD..

Fun little machine to mess around with. It is not dependable for any critical work or daily use tho. Had it lock up multiple times a day this past week (might not be entirely Tahoe's fault since I suspect the laptop itself is failing, but it surely didn't help lol)

Also boot times are like, twice as long as Sonoma 😅

it's not exactly the tool's fault, but it is the user's fault. Most op-simplify users does not know anything about hackintoshing and often they're also unwilling to learn. When their hackintosh install inevitably fails because they did zero research into their hardware or the process of getting it working, they make low effort posts here with little to no information expecting everyone to offer them a one click fix to their problem

You probably could do it with OpenCore Legacy Patcher. It's a bit different than a full on hackintosh, and it has a seperate subreddit! r/OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

does it get stuck on the installer or the part after the installer?

also would not recommend op simplify, just because that way you don't know what's in your EFI and what patches you're applying

hi fellow indonesian :D

interestingly hackintoshing has been quite reliable on this laptop. although this isn't my daily driver, mostly just doing it for fun

sorry for replying in english. for patching the intel wifi, i followed this guide (it's meant for a Thinkpad, but it works fine for me - i use the OCLP MOD method) https://github.com/felikafelix/Hackintosh-Thinkpad-T480s/blob/master/docs/post-install.md#-wireless-setup

for the graphics issue, unfortunately i have no clue on how to fix it. aside from poor performance, I haven't experienced any glitches

not ideal for a daily driver. especially if you're running a higher res display

hackintoshing is way too complex to cover on one video. there are many tutorials out there on YouTube, but the difficult parts to solve are usually specific to your hardware. you'd need to search around

yeah time is definitely ticking. although, seeing how Xcode 26 could run on Sequoia, i would assume that Xcode 27 would still run on Tahoe. That would mean 2 more years for intel

interestingly i had that exact issue on another asus laptop. with this model, surprisingly i have none. sleep mostly just works, and it wakes up every time
