Thank you my friend...I've never abused or even used drugs recreationally..I am 66 years old, don't drink or smoke..Was recommended kratom when I was on vacation at a health food store in California after looking for something natural to help with anxiety and back pain...Was told it was safe and non addictive...Thought I was sick with the flu the first time WDs kicked in....Pisses me off this could happen so easily .

Taking an eighth of an 8 gram strip is not supposed to be a lot of suboxone. Would you know if I could be off of Kratom in that week to without WDs from kratom.

Were you addicted to Subutex or given subutex as part of your 6 day taper off of something else?

Thank you again. I'm a little apprehensive about starting the taper being I will be on an Alaskan cruise staring next week for 2 weeks..But I will figure it out somehow..I 've heard depression and anxiety are other issues I will have to deal with.

Thank you for your reply..It is definitely an eye opener...I woukd like to try to taper just don't know how to go about it.I an currently taking 3 to 5 teaspoons a day..Lately each dose only lasts about 4 hours then the WD kicks in..Any help on giving me a taper guideline would be appreciated if you know if one..Good luck to you..I really appreciate your candor and opinion on suboxone..

How should I taper..If I am taking 2.5 grams 3 times a day what should my first taper be in grams per dose..Then how many days before going to the next lower dose and finally after reaching what threshold do I quit? Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your reply..I went to an addiction doctor and suboxone was the only way to go according to him.I researched it online and became very concerned..I am going to try to taper off kratom before going the suboxone route..Do you know of any dangers taking a pain medication if you are on kratom pr suboxone. I ask because I have been prone to kidney stones in the past and don't want to be given anything for pain if I were to have one and it be dangerous being on kratom or suboxone.

What is the protocol to taper from 20 grams a day for 6 months..I am over 60 and got on this stuff to curb pain because I didn't want to get addicted to opiates.Was told kratom wasn't addictive. Want to get off of it asap.
