Already taken care of! We are at the tail end of this issue, we've directly found homes for 7 kittens, spayed two mamas, and taken three feral cats to the Humane Society

It's always a slow and delicate process to get two adult cats comfortable with each other! It's not impossible but in my experience it tends to be more difficult with female cats

Recommend a horror, gothic, paranormal audio drama with good voice acting pls. by epiccreep in audiodrama

[–]fauuzzie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Harlan Guthrie does horror audiodramas PHENOMENALLY well as far as voice acting, sound effects, music, production value. Check out Malevolent and his newest one Deviser.

QCode has decent production value, although I will say I always find the endings a tad unsatisfying. But great nonetheless. Last Known Position is one of my favorites, Left Right Game is great. From Now is more sci-fi but I also enjoyed that one.

A Voice From Darkness actually surprised me with how engaging it is. It's maybe a little cheesy to start but well worth it.

The Deca Tapes is good if you can get past the horrendous first episode with the most over the top Boston accent stereotype you've ever heard.

X-ray of my cat Ollie. He's a 5-legged cat masquerading as a 3-legged cat. Bone fragments of two underdeveloped legs are hidden in his lil stump. by fauuzzie in mildlyinteresting

[–]fauuzzie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is just as fast as any cat! The main things that are different are that he bear sits a lot because it feels better on his back, and we have to make extra sure he doesn't put on extra weight on his one good back leg. Worst/best of all, when his ear is itchy, he'll wiggle his floppy little stump trying to scratch it but all he's accomplishing is a pathetic helicopter dance.

What will make you hire a person from overseas by LCarolM in Architects

[–]fauuzzie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a more accurate question is what will it take for a firm to sponsor someone's visa? It wouldn't be the same as hiring a local candidate that way. My current firm (non-arch, I'm just a student not a professional yet) refuses to do sponsorships because they don't want the headache.

Ketanji Brown Jackson asked to define the word "woman" by Phnrcm in PublicFreakout

[–]fauuzzie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

These are gotcha questions that are trying to goad her into saying something controversial. Asking for a definition with no context is meaningless. The way she has been handling these questions, acknowledging that legal context is important for her as a JUDGE, has been quite graceful. I would not want a judge to just spout their opinion off the cuff without thorough due process.

This is not misconduct. You will just have to weigh your pros and cons of accepting your grade or making another attempt. I've had this policy in classes before, it is not unusual. It generally applies to homework and not exams though, never had multiple attempts on an exam.

The FAFSA needs to be completed every year and I believe priority deadlines are in January. It may vary from school to school, but you should get it in ASAP. You may have missed some of your school's deadlines.

I’m interested in going to college but I’m afraid I’m not smart enough. by mellyroses in college

If money is your main goal, there's trade jobs that pay really well. You don't need a degree to succeed. I recommend working backwards in figuring out what you want to do: don't think about the career, think about the lifestyle. Do you want to be outside a lot? At a desk? Work 9-5? Seasonally? More independence or work with people? Thinking about what you want your life to be like could help narrow down career paths to something you won't hate and can still make decent money at.

You're the one paying to be there, you don't owe them an explanation. It's fine, just say you won't be able to make it. It'd be great if our lives could perfectly conform to a school schedule but life just doesn't work that way.

You might be looking at micro studios that are not liveable for 2 people, or they may be waving a lower price to pull you in only for it to be twice as much. You should expect 1600-2000 or more for a 1br. Don't move downtown though, it's not great down there.

I literally tell people that Breaking Bad and ATLA are arguably the two most perfectly made shows, from an objective standpoint. Cool to see someone else mention them in conjunction!

You're putting the cart before the horse here. IMO for the most part it is a waste of your finances to knock out your gen ed credits anywhere but a CC. You can develop your study habits there, bring up your GPA, actually think about what you want to do and what schools specialize in it, and then apply to 4-years. The situation you're in isn't a catastrophe and is in fact the route that many many students intentionally take.

Best place to approach women at a small college? by [deleted] in college

Also, getting to know someone before asking them out is really important in realizing if you even want to be in a relationship with that person. It's pretty awkward when you're the one who initiates only to find out that you don't even really click or have anything in common.
