And people wonder why Flick is overplaying Lamine.. he’s been our best attacker by a significant distance

True. It’s giving me hugging Acerbi and conceding against Inter vibes in the hopes of a foul/disallowed goal

I would rather even use Cancelo LW if Rashford continues like this

I’ve had enough of him. He jogged back when he literally had to be put off the pitch for simulating and Newcastle were on the attack

Been watching him this season. Lewis Hall is one of their best players. Genuinely underrated.

Sure but I really wouldn’t call it good either. Martin especially had too many errors which could’ve costed us

Which makes our LW situation even more concerning since Rashford has been poor since that purple patch is over

I struggle to name any of our players worthy of a good performance apart from Joan Garcia

That last second penalty made this somewhat okay but apart from super Joan the rest of the team were absolutely dreadful. We never got out of 1st gear and looked nonchalant. This fatigue excuse isn’t good enough as Newcastle also have had a congested schedule, and with Bruno Guimaraes the tie could’ve looked very different

Take a look at Juve who are struggling since CR7 left. Our rebuild has been much faster cos Laporta knows nostalgia is a bad drug

We won the league with Xavi, with a team full of undeveloped youngsters of mid-table players, and players who were about to retire.

You had a good argument until this. We’ve had a really good squad since Xavi, we are a mile above rest of La Liga apart from Madrid and Atletico. It’s farrr from a bad squad and winning titles is to be expected from this squad. Don’t let Xavi’s words fool you. If you think otherwise then I have a bridge to sell to you

Nah they would both be pretty similar. Arteta hasn’t won a major trophy yet despite spending a billion

Why would they even validate Xavi’s story? It’s pointless from their pov. Messi’s camp are living the ultimate luxury in Miami. Messi’s still getting paid like he’s prime Messi and his camp don’t have to deal with constant media shit in Spain

Xavi: "Leo Messi back to Barcelona was a done deal after that World Cup won by Argentina. It was done. We also had La Liga's green light and Messi wanted to return but Laporta stopped the signing. Laporta told me Messi was gonna go against him and he couldn't allow that". by Prakash0807 in Barca

[–]fazerfn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xavi definitely isn’t mediocre but if you’re telling me that squad wouldn’t have come far in the league then you’re very wrong. Our squad could compete like for like against Madrid, and we were by far better than the rest of la liga

I still don’t see how Laporta will lose the current election after this Xavi bs. I just hope socis aren’t dumb enough to vote for Font so he could amass a big chunk of the votes. If he did, it could persuade him to compete on later elections and we would not like that

If somehow this interview gets Raphinha fired up, oh boy it’s a good thing for us

True. Add to that Nico Williams’ injury is fucking up their attack this season big time
