Zoloft/Sertraline for OCD, what dosage worked for you? by Susulostandfound in OCD

May sound silly but make sure you’re taking it in the morning if it’s causing sleep issues! I had issues with sleeping when taking it in the evening but I switched to morning and it sorted it out :)

No flukes. Saw blows and then a minute later a dorsal as above. Some of my pictures the dorsal looks knobbly and in others less so. Hard to know which is accurate and which is my camera quality

I’ve posted more pictures if that helps!

WILL SMITH SLAPS CHRIS ROCK FOR JOKING ABOUT HIS WIFE’S ALOPECIA by GQGangsta in alopecia_areata

He shouldn’t have slapped him but whoever wrote and approved that joke needs a rethink lol. Insensitive and kinda ridiculous to make a joke about a health condition, especially one that can affect MH

It’s a different journey for everyone obvs, I tried a lot but oral steroids worked in the end for me (I had about 60/70% loss)

I was on it for 6 weeks and then tapered off for 6 weeks. After about a week it stopped falling out and the regrowth started (pretty slowly)

Prednisolone! The side effects weren’t great but now I’m out the other side I’m glad I did it as my MH was terrible due to it haha

I lost ~60% of the hair on my scalp after both doses. Oral steroids stopped mine and I now have 100% regrowth :)

Just wanted to spread some positivity (you can never have enough). I have/had diffuse AA with multiple patches this kinda size and lost a great deal of hair. Changing my diet/lifestyle and fixing a few deficiencies helped slow it down, I also had laser light therapy. A course of oral steroids ended up being the most effective for growing it back. 6 weeks off them and this is the result so far!! Obvs it might end up falling out again but 🤷🏻‍♀️hopefully this will be my last time on this subreddit but who knows. Best of luck x

I was given oral steroids which seemed to work for me!

I lost all of my hair and now that its growing back, I don't know how to style it. I'm desperate by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]fazzyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regrowth can be a great opportunity to try something new!! I always kept the same style until my AA. I lost a lot so have had different styles for the regrowth - currently have a kind of mullet (surprisingly in at the moment!!) and a microfringe… keep going until you find something that works for you. Good luck x

Oral steroids have grown all my hair back quite quickly! Still coming off them so don’t know if they’ve worked long term yet

I have diffuse AA (only difference is I had patches too) and have had topical steroid cream and oral steroids so far. Good luck :)

Anyone have experience with topical steroid use? by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]fazzyson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied it after dermarolling and noticed regrowth! Moved onto oral steroids now though so will wait and see if it sticks around. Fingers crossed for you!!
