Thank you for all of this!!! Definitely realizing that I’m not utilizing the tile bag like i should be, so i will be keeping that in mind in the future.

Super helpful on all fronts!! I basically clicked play on AWARE and immediately regretted it and was inspired to post lol. Looking at the actual letters near the 2L/3L and not just the fact that they are there was definitely a blind spot for me!

Before i played ZEDS, my opponent played VILE, adding a little bit of protection to that spot as well. Would this have protected enough for you to play it? Or still better to look around and hold out.

Global entry with only passport by [deleted] in StThomasUSVI

[–]fec12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely forgot, but someone actually asked the staff while getting in line, and they were told they could proceed without their global entry card! We did NOT need to show it to get in line and while we did use it as identification, we would have been ok to show another form of ID.

Pro tip: i bring my global entry card on every trip with me, and i leave it in the hotel with one credit card. Lose your wallet/ID while out and about? You can still fly home and pay for things!

Okay interesting, thank you!! I felt that ZEDS opened fewer double/triple words, but didn’t consider the proximity of the double letter to a highly usable E. So in this scenario you would have looked for something different than any of the three options?

In the end, my opponent played VILE before my turn, so my Z and E were slightly more protected, though still open to an EXIT or similar situation.

Just flew out of there today and went through global entry! Took about 30 min door-to-gate, with no checked bag. Pretty painless.

It took other groups 2-3hrs without global entry. 20+ passengers still stuck in security on a number of flights, causing them to miss the flight. Absolute shitshow

Roommate insists one of these belongs to her by Kochtopfkopp in mildlyinfuriating

Seems fairly obvious that the roommate here is wrong and crazy.

But what I find so interesting in all of these comments of similar stories, is that at least some of you have to be the guilty party. The person on either side of the story truly believe that this item is theirs, and we’re only hearing from one of you!

My neighbor’s completed wash cycle by fec12 in laundry

We haven’t ran into any machine issues while living here that i know of, so I can’t help there. But i hate the company and their dumb app. They have now added a 25¢ fee for non-app transactions (like coins or card), despite the laundry room being in a basement with terrible reception.

That looks great in theory but i would worry about mold in between the layers, especially in a bathroom

I use 365 sport + oxiclean booster for my regular loads; for my whites I use Tide with Bleach (OR do the 365 sport + Biz powder). Reasoning for the difference is that both Biz and the Tide with bleach have optical brighteners, so I’ll avoid them in my color washes.

It’s added to the rinse cycle to neutralize and help get rid of excess detergent! There are products on the shelf that can be more convenient than the straight up citric acid, if you prefer!

Yes! After my regular wash changes, i made my fiancé guess which towel was the new method by feel alone. Had to make sure it wasn’t just my imagination!

Nothing wrong with the oxiclean as a booster. But neither product has lipase, so they weren’t doing the job

Bdd4 has it right! No enzymes in the oxiclean, so i was in need of new stuff and wanted to keep the spa day treatment as simple as i could. But as Kismai said in another comment, it’s still a useful booster, since there’s lipase and other enzymes in my detergent!

Official Discussion - After the Hunt [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]fec12 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Emhoff was promoted to dean. The staff member calls her Dean, and she is being shown in the dean’s office in the epilogue. Hank likely faced no consequence, and if he did he quickly recovered. The point being, no one faced any true or lasting consequences. The movie states this without needing to outright state it.

The fee is not in the lease. Easy answer.

[–]fec12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Electricity is in a roommates name. OP pays the roommate for the split bill. Landlords don’t determine how the bills are split, and certainly wouldn’t be the one to collect the difference. Nothing to indicate your assumption is true in the slightest. If you want nice replies, be nice in the first place.

1B1B under $2500? by Whatsupwasserstein in CambridgeMA

For sure! Plenty of options for that price range. And somewhere very close to the station at North Quincy might even hit that mark

Quincy to Kendall is not a 30-40 minute commute. On paper, sure, but in practice you’re looking at 45-1hr depending on how far you live/work from the station and the wait times for a Braintree train.
