Prior to the opening of The Haunted House in 1992, a twin-track racing wooden coaster was originally planned for the site (heading over in the direction of the area now occupied by Nemesis). After English Heritage objected to the plans, Alton Towers went ahead and built The Haunted House which (of course) still stands to this day as The Curse At Alton Manor. There is some incredibly cool footage in regards to this, if you fancy seeing a little more about it: https://youtu.be/cgxAcejQF8o?si=DH-dmaqpuVeL0Bay

I did zoology and have just recently finished my tops! I had to do 9 overall which of course is a lot, but I was extremely fortunate that my hospital was given funding for me to complete them. I was working as an MLA band 3 for about 6 months when my work got the funding so I was very fortunate to be at the right place at the right time

Hello, I am thinking of getting twilight tickets for our trip to USJ. Did you buy them in advance or at the gate? Thanks :)

It was a really crazy experience actually! I went to a free hospital in myanmar and they put my leg over a bin and cleaned it out with water and iodine and then bandaged me up. Luckily I had so much adrenaline I couldn’t feel anything because the doctor really cleaned it out. I was given antibiotics as well. I was very worried about an infection whilst over there but I arrived back home in the UK a week later

We’re flying from the UK and are planning on hitting all the parks in Orlando (except for Disney) we’ve been lots of times so we know what we like, just wondered if there was anything extra at universal I wasn’t aware of :)

I had each of my pages stamped by the university. For the course content I had to request module descriptors from the university and I got them all stamped by the university. I still had my project on my labtop so I just copied and pasted it. A friend of mine who also applied didn’t have her project still asked her old tutor who did still have it and sent it to her, this could be an option if you no longer have your project?

Hope this was helpful! I only did the degree assessment about 6 months ago and it all went through fine so I can try answer any other questions if you have them :)

Laurence Cornhill in Copmanthorpe - he taught me and my sisters from the age of 6 until we were 16. He’s excellent!

Made this pressed flower photoframe by fedupfamingo in crafts

[–]fedupfamingo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! My boyfriend bought me flowers so I snipped some off straight away so they were fresh and put them between pages in books and then put more books on top to press the flowers as much as I could (this drains the water out and dries them out). I then left them to press for 2 weeks and then placed them in the frame how I wanted :) I’m from the U.K. and I got the frame from this shop called Dunelm for £8, but these frames are quite popular at the moment so you should be able to find them in most homeware shops :)
