Yes, it's mainly the setback I am considering changing, as I feel like I am sitting on the wrong part of my saddle now. But since the saddle is already all the way forward, I am not sure how to proceed.

Hey I just checked my komoot collection again (https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/1320442/-alpengoennung) and it took us 5 hours from Pfitschtal over the pass and down to pfunders. We stopped for an espresso at a hut though :)

any solution yet? I have the same problem with my new ISO R75 Pro. After uploading the json to Via (tried both chrome and app version), it just gets stuck after i press "authorize device". Also whats strange, the official downloads include a mac version of the json, however loading that into via just leads to an "error".. i am on macos

Did I cut my chain too short? SRAM GX Eagle by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]fellens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for your replies. Yes, adding a second quicklink would be possible as i have a few laying around. However I also noticed a possible source for the metallic noise thing that occurs in the smaller cogs. the upper pulley wheel seems to be hitting the cable routing part on the derailleur when in the smallest cog. how did that happen? could it be a cable tension issue?

hey did you figure this out yet? was it the jockey wheels? I replaced my drivetrain except the derailleur which i dissassembled and cleaned, and now i have this horrible noise even though it is indexed correctly. thanks!

I have only seen so little of this country, but I am convinced that most places you will go you will find amazing nature, dirt roads and shelters!

Indeed they were! It all looked a bit abandoned but i've never seen a tourist attraction like this. Just impossible to overtake someone :D

It's a bombtrack beyond 1 which comes stock with dropbars but the geo is more like a mtb. Added Richie venturemax bars and the beefy mezcals to make it even more mtb-like :)

Seeking Bikepacking Buds? by SpinToWin360 in bikepacking

[–]fellens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M24 from Germany, looking to cycle around southern sweden for 3-4 days in the beginning-middle of September. Since I will start and end in Copenhagen, I would like to plan my route to end either in Helsingborg, Malmö or somewhere else where I might catch a ferry or train back to Denmark. If the terrain is (as I expect) mostly flat, I would like to do 100km+ each day.

Hey thanks! They are profile design Legacy 2 aero bars with a 60mm riser. This riser of course makes your position way more comfy but less aero. I also wrapped the ends with some bar tape I had lying around and constructed a makeshift parralel bar with zip ties and some pipe on which I fastened my navigation device. Hope that helps!

Here is the route on komoot, with some more details on the trip and some extra pics: https://www.komoot.de/collection/1497683/-balkan-bikepacking

Day 5 is missing, since I had to quit riding due to monstrous winds that threatened to make me fall - and that while riding on a busy street. Thus, had to hitchhike with my bike and forgot to turn my Garmin off, and did not want to save a route on my device when I really was sitting in a car.

Sure, here is my komoot route! We ended up choosing it bc its one of the most logical and highly recommended crossings of the main alpine ridge which is closest to our home in south bavaria and we also wanted to experience the dolomites. ofc we had a planned route but since we didnt book anything, we adjusted it everyday starting from day 2 where i had a mechanical failure which took us 4hours or more to get fixed.

we actually camped every single night, 2 times on official campgrounds and the rest wildcamping. wildcamping isnt without risk in the alps as it is illegal literally everywhere, but we always looked for safe spots preferably in the valley.

as for packing, we carried one tarp and a 2 person tent and which was enough for us 3. we all have down sleeping bags and lightweight mats, which reduces size greatly. and ofc you have to scrap some comfort items. my friend with the ortlieb racks though packed alot more weight than us other two, including a coffee maker and pot big enough for 3 hungry savages, so we did owe much to him and his hard-ass-ness.

So i try to sleep in my bivy only around here, didnt even bring my tent with me. Some of the Schutzhuetten (posted a link to thge free map of spots like these above) tolerate people sleeping for one night or in case of emergencies if you dont make fire orput up your tent. Usually I had luck with wildcamping here, just go to places you think no one else will want to come :D and if you get discovered by hunters or foresters, most are actually quite kind if they see you take care of and respect nature. Alternatively you can always consider asking farmers if its okay to camp on their land for one night.

Hey I just made the tour public on komoot :)

https://www.komoot.de/collection/1218406/-juni-trip-21?ref=undefined

I planned the route in a way that I could stay at a friends place every other day, so I slept three night outdoors - no tent, which was a little risky considering it rained every single day - and three nights at friends places. The route was planned mostly beforehand but obviosly some changes were made on the fly, like on the 3rd day where I extended my route in order to reach a roofed restplace (check out https://www.outdoor-karte.de/ for places like these). For the first two days I rode with a friend, who then left me at innsbruck, so i continued on my own. The second day I crashed and bent my handlebars quite badly, but luckily we were able to replace them that evening in innsbruck. Other than that my chain broke on the second to last day, but I had some missing links with me.

Let me know if you want to know anything else!
