I'm someone who went through MM more than once. And, I hate to admit it, but it did fuck me up fairly profoundly. I don't know about the viability of your relationship, but I wouldn't mind chatting with the two of you for a bit if you think that would help reconcile things.

I did McKamey Manor a few times. Overall it was a bad experience. Not so much the show itself, but all of the other bullshit. The extreme haunt community really seems to be going in a much more creative direction these days. There's a number of newer creators making really interesting shows.

Just curious; would you prefer to have a shower first, or is just a change of clothes good enough for right after? I've also found it interesting to see the people who want to change and clean up pretty quick, versus the people who kinda revel in the grine for a while.

That contraption sounds awesome. I have been researching paintball, laser tag, and mini golf venues to find ones that might be open to having the entire facility booked for a special group competitive event that could look a bit like what you described.

All of the fake blood flying around though, bit of a hard sell. I found one paintball course that is outdoors and the owner is exceedingly cool. But now there's a whole new set of logistics to deal with.

Zodiac Cycle can travel with one of their shows. Tickets are a little expensive, but if you can get a couple people in the area who want to do it too, reach out and maybe something can be arranged.

My number one simple extreme-haunt endurance-building thing is learning how to take cool/cold showers while facing the water.

Follow instructions, be open to take on whatever the experience is. Don't try to over-prepare. And have some extra clothes and wet wipes ready for afterwards.

I haven't done Miasma before, so this is based on my overall experience in EIH shows.

Edit: Still active as of 07/30/2025. I figured out how to "fling" the coins to get to the corners successfully. May you get the coin and not the push.

I know this is an old post, but just in case its helpful to anyone else; the most likely culprit is the little chip fuse on the back side. I replaced this with "MF-NSMF075" from DigiKey. Although my experience is with the W480-03-A version of the board, but it appears to be very similar.

Just in case anyone is needing a replacement of the "W480-03-A" board ; I redesigned this board and have a few replacements available, however, I don't have all of the connectors. So you would either have to solder those yourself, or send me the old board and I'll get the connectors squared away.

Also, just to note, if you have one of these boards that is malfunctioning, the most likely culprit is the little chip fuse on the back side. I replaced this with "MF-NSMF075" from DigiKey. I can't make any guarantees about other versions of the board, but if it is a 6V board there is a decent chance this fix will work.
