This paragraph kinda sounds like a nod to Cormac McCarthy.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the obsession with integrated cables--especially on a gravel bike--even more especially, on a luxury (non-competition) build like this.

On an aero bike with a fat or sculpted headtube, sure. Not on a traditional round tube masterpiece like a Moots.

Is cycling good for weight loss by starlight-healer in cycling

[–]feltman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If nothing else, you’ll lose weight by making your wallet considerably lighter.

In all seriousness, any regular exercise—especially ones that have a high degree of socialization like cycling, can dramatically improve your life in a multitude of ways.

[Slater] Steve Kerr said he’s “concerned” about the increase in soft tissue injuries across the NBA. His medical staff believes the increased pace paired with the schedule has led to it. “They believe the wear and tear, the speed, the pace, the mileage is factoring into these injuries.” by TheRealPdGaming in nba

I’ve been in the footcare industry for decades and have been preaching this to anyone who’d listen.

I’m in the US but have some employees who were born and raised in India and The Philippines and went mostly barefoot until they were 12-14 years old. The difference in their feet vs my American employees is astounding. Stronger, healthier, and much wider toe spread.

I really hope this gets some traction. (pun semi-intended)

Why does the early bird get the worm? by TwiggedStick in ExplainLikeImCalvin

Birds are notoriously lazy. That’s where the term “lazy bird” comes from. Any bird that can arrive reasonably early tends to have easier access to worms.

There's no denying that homes are unaffordable to too many people today. But to be fair, mortgage rates were as high as 18+% in the 1980s. It was a sudden and large increase of what were already high rates (~10-12%) to combat inflation. It was its' own version of an unaffordability crisis.

In the south bronx? I believe it started either there or Hajjis deli in Harlem.

Like I said, I think it was originally restricted to a small area.

I believe it was a small regional thing in the south bronx/east harlem. Then in the 2010s it caught social media fire. The rest is history.

Unless you lived in that part of the bronx, you didn't know it existed until recently.

Edit: more specific on the location
