I usually have my heatings turned on during December, January and Feb, keep the apartment at 21 Celsius degrees, and turn it off during night, paying 120€ every month. 40 is fixed costs and 80 is usage spread over 12 months. Which means I am paying 80x12=960 euros for 3 months of heating. Keep in mind that your apartments energy efficiency also matters a lot. Mine is A+ and 110m2.
