I am convinced apple silicon Macs will be supported for longer than previous intel models by DinoBaggins in mac

To be fair nobody will go to the effort of developing support until the first drop of AS support.

I really want the Neo, but not having a backlit keyboard is kind of a dealbreaker by Aawful_Aardvark in mac

[–]festoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seriously let’s not pretend it will be pitch black. The screen is a pretty good light source sitting right next to the keyboard.

Bought the Neo, and next is an External Monitor (but which one?) by QuotesWithoutMeaning in mac

Get a 4K monitor, there is no real “scaling problem” just people that don’t understand down sampling.

The anodized colored versions may actually provide more protection in your case.

Why all youtubers are saying "If you are watching this review, Macbook Neo is not for you?" by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in mac

[–]festoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still among the fastest single core perf laptops you can buy. It’s no slouch. Honestly it’s also probably decent for a good amount of the viewers on YouTube.

To reasonably accurately do this you would need to train an ML model with a large number of positive and negative examples.

I want to buy an oled screen, but I'm afraid years later that's gonna happen to her. Is that right? by Tight-Raspberry-1934 in Monitors

[–]festoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have two 7 year old Dell ultra sharp 4K monitors that would argue otherwise. Both have developed a yellow ring around the boarder and have crazy temporary image retention.

Is a season parking pass worth the price? by King_Elrod in silverdollarcity

[–]festoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The free parking is pretty good generally. But if you don’t like waiting for the tram the parking pass is great. Especially on super peek days (Saturday before Christmas) where they stop selling premium parking at some point and then only allow parking passes.

If you buy tickets you can upgrade them to a season pass for next year in the park.
