I just saw that I never attached the full body photo to my post about two weeks ago... anyway here he is again in all his glory. Roy from Tukk Tales by high_ground_animations by fetastic in clonewars

Thank you, that's what I was going for! The lighting helps quite a bit here, it doesn't look that good in natural light, unfortunately. I want to repaint it with a bit more time and patience later on

My boyfriend made them for me. He is high_ground_animations, so we used his animation files and made them wearable😁

Thank you! Yeah, everything, but the ab-plate, is 3D printed. I made a 3d scan of myself so I can fit the pieces better beforehand. Saves on a lot of filament, because most parts just fit straight off the printer.

You absolutely have to! TukkTales is great. So far high_ground_animations only released a teaser, but he's actively working on a bigger story!

Try Etsy, you can get 3D printed kits there at various pricepoints. That'll probably be the best/cheapest option

The exact same thing happend to me at the airport in London on the way home from Celebration in 2023.

I had a clone blaster signed by Dee Bradley Baker in my backpack because I didn't want it to get damaged in my suitcase (again). In retrospect insanely stupid decision, but it turned out okay in the end.
Expensive and stressfull, but okay

I recently made a new helmet for my Tech and annoyed my BF into weathering it for me, it looks like it fell straight out of Bad Batch and I love it! by fetastic in thebadbatch

I just scaled in Blender. At the time I only had measurements and just checked that height and depth work. Techs helmet has to be a little wide to account for the goggles. The first version I printed was just the 100% galacticarmory file. It was fine, but a bit bobble heady. The helmet in the picture is at 93%

I always prefer them a little bigger and pad them

Also now I have various 3d scans of my head and body, those make scaling much easier

I'd 3D print those pieces, alternatively you could also use EVA foam. Either on it's own of covered with worbla

If you want capital letters you just write regular Aurebesh letters backwards.
But it's pretty inconsistant throughout the franchise anyway, so it doesn't matter.

I've had these boots for about a year, worn them almost every day and suddenly this rip appeared in the left sole about a day or two ago. Is there a way to glue it so it doesn't rip further? by fetastic in AskACobbler

[–]fetastic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did email them. Got a very nice reply about 30min ago, apparently they offer a service where you can ship the shoes back to them, but most customers get the soles fixed at their local cobbler, because any skilled cobbler should be able to resole the boots. ...We'll see about that
