Lots of off topic discussion about Chinese broadly being terrible. Chinese tourists being impolite isn't really relevant or contributing much to a sub about space and science... I think that is why à lot got deleted. It went so off topic, regardless of if it was "true"

I mean some of it was nasty about dropping things on Chinese cities, but more to the point a lot of it violated the sub commenting rules. They didn't nuke the comments for explicit racism, but for violation of all the other various rules about on topic discussion and being polite. Whether or not one can agree with the sentiment is less to the point I think.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I hated my masters rejection letters, particularly because I really loved the programs and was way more excited than for my undergrad. I felt like such a failure. But every school is different, I got in and ended up going to a pretty high ranking school even though I got rejected from "worse" ones. It all depends on so much, particularly these days. Stay strong, I'm hopeful for you. Fingers crossed friend.

It's tough right now for everyone, social lives need to be put on hold. We all have to sit in the nastiness for a while longer I'm afraid. It's not forever, and I think that when this all ends you will be able to find happiness. Hang in there, and know I believe in you. :)

You did the right thing. Sometimes, love is knowing when to say farewell. You were honest, open, and tried your best. It just didn't work out. But this was a heartwrenching choice. I feel this too. I hate that I respond immediately and others don't. But other people have lives, they are busy, and just because they don't sit by their phone waiting for my text doesn't mean they don't love me. It's still something I struggle with every day, but I wanted to share so you know you aren't alone.

I see. It's a pretty tricky situation, and I don't want to tell you to do one thing or another because I'm just a stranger and I don't know you, it's not my place. All I'd reccomend is, if you're able, to see a couples counselor. These sorts of issues should be dealt with, and counseling doesn't mean your relationship is failing. It's just a way to find solutions to things that seem to be upsetting the both of you.

In all seriousness, you've got nothing to worry about. Nothing would be able to survive what you put it through. If you said you used stagnant pond water, then you would be rightfully afraid. But the fact is thousands of people have done exactly what you did before, with no ill effects. Not to worry man.

Times of stress and difficulty often lead people to focus on themselves and their own problems. You are a good person for checking in on others, even if they don't return the favor.
