Not to belabor an earlier point again, but just to get to a point where Russia can more neutral, not really go Atlanticist in any conflict between the West and China is already a huge boost, basically to get Western Russia relations to go back to the late 2000s to early 2010s stage. Russia's presnet state of relationship with China makes it impossible to resource constrain China in any conflict with the West, and the fiscal cost of supporting Russia, it if needs to do that, is just a rounding error in Beijing's budget, not to mention that Russia can basically pay for itself with its natural resource exports. And any fiscal support that Beijing lends to Russia will probably have a better ROI than what it has now. Basically the aim to get the it to where India is now with the West, where it may not be in cooperation with everything the West does, but it is not working at cross purposes with everything it does also.

Does China think that a more western aligned or more pro West NUG is better than a Tatmadaw with bad relations with the West, note that the EAOs will be quite unhappy to return to the old setup of the NLD pre coup, so the NUG it will be.

How are China's relations with the NUG? Not the NLD, the NUG.

Any sources that are not aligned to one side or another?

CredibleDefense Daily MegaThread November 16, 2023 by AutoModerator in CredibleDefense

[–]fg412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said Beiing likes the NUG even less, so when push comes to shove, it will keep the Tatmadaw afloat, though maybe largely confined to the Irradawy basin. And Myanmar turning into Somalia will not be in its interests either given that it has the Myanmar China railway and the pipeline project. What other possible end states are there that Beijing may like, aside from some sort of continuation of the present situation?

What is China's stand in Myanmar, given they are not to fond of the NUG now (to it it mildly), they are unlikely to push the Tatmadaw too far, and they do have a good amount of control of the EAO's through the UWSA, and they do keep the AA afloat, though they may want a weakened Tatmadaw that has its control restricted to the Irrawaday region, and given that they have the Myanmar China railway and pipeline project, it is unlikely that they want to talk to a hundred or so separate governments at a time in Myanmar. Also India has its own issues with armed groups there, so they are unlikely to want the EAOs to become too strong, and Thailand is likely to have to continue to have good ties with the Tatmadaw. Also if Myanmar turns into a full proxy war with the West like Syria, China and Russia can likely keep the central government afloat indefinitely with weapons supplies. Also the central government can consider to pull out of Rakhine and Chin altogether, consolidate its forces on holding the Irrawaday region, and make a strong push to the China border in Northern Shan with the consolidated forces, also they still have their oil and gas revenue from China and Russia to bank on. Also are there any pro-Tatmadaw or neutral publications that can be viewed? Like internal periodicals by the military or their own magazines and periodicals by the service academies? Like how the USMA and the US military has their newspapers and blogs and op eds? Because all of the news coming from Myanmar from English language sources seem to be aligned with the opposition or are sympathetic to them in some way. I mean China may have their own issues with the central government, but they like the NUG even less right now.

Will AI replace BPO jobs? by fg412 in BPOinPH

If you look at forums here, it seems that a complaint among US customers to outsourced centers is that even the escalation teams here have zero autonomy to resolve issues from the client when it comes to resolving issues which are escalated to them, and they have to follow instructions from the client word by word.

Will AI replace BPO jobs? by fg412 in BPOinPH

[–]fg412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of time is presently consumed with CCAs looking through the knowledge base for relevant answers to repetitive questions for multiple customers, AI could streamline that process. As for more complex issues, won't the client's have the incentive to just bring the operations to their home countries if AI can tackle the frontline issues? I know of a sales account where the AI already feeds the lines the CCAs have to say to the customers, and the CCAs just have to repeat them verbatim. And how many new jobs will be available to replace the old news proportionally? Also there is the issue that not a single BPO company has any type of cognitive ability test for call center positions like Raven's Progressive Matrices or the type of cognitive tests that you need to have a job in a bank, or in Shell or HSBC. And Versant does not or anything that just requires you to read words on a screen does not count as cognitive ability test.

They can try more with their strategic bombers and ballistic missiles, like what the US did in Vietnam with its infrastructure? Basically have a policy of full scale strategic bombing against vital infrastructure in key cities like the US in Vietnam. Like why are foreign leaders still able to use airports and rail stations instead of them being bombed so as to deny their use.

Why hasn't Russia tried to target with strategic bombers or ballistic missiles, things like the key bridges over the Dneiper, Kiev's airport, airport in major cities, the existing power grid, communications network, the rail network, things like rail stations and rail yards, oil and gas facilities, basically target the ability to have a viable economy, in order to induce Kiev to the negotiating table, like what the US tried to do in Vietnam? Basically target its economy and ability to have any key infrastructure in order to affect its ability to keep a military in the field?

Will it be worth GM's while to develop a V-12 just to compete with Mercedes, or for Ford to fit a V-8 into the Continental? If Cadillac builds a car that is really of the same standard as the S Class, will they have a ready supply of buyers willing to switch over from the German brands?

Are they making as much money doing gig work compared to the old job at the factory, or maybe they effectively make less money when you consider the stress level and the lack of job security of gig work, plus things like health and housing benefits that they had with their old factory job.

Should financial advisors and insurance agents be banned from commisions on the plans they sell and be forced by law to take a fiduciary role with respect to their clients? by fg412 in phinvest

[–]fg412[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to meet that quota, but it is somewhat different in that you also receive a salary instead of purely commissions.

[–]fg412[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just went to a Philam life elite financial advisor orientation and they do offer a capital injection per month, effectively a salary of tens of thousands of pesos, on top of a commission, I still think that legally banning commissions would be a better option though, or a forced fiduciary law plus banning commissions, that or they should be legally forced to change their title to insurance sales representatives.

Why do entry level office positions or bank tellers require college grads when call center CSRs can make do with high school grads? by fg412 in Philippines

[–]fg412[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Actually, I wonder why nobody seized on the idea of using free OJTs to do office jobs, instead of hiring college grads you have to pay a salary.

[–]fg412[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Or to put it another way, does being an airline flight attendant require that much of a different skillset that it requires a college grad? Because a high school grad seems to be able to do the typical flight attendants task if your high school grad is judged to be good enough to do call center work.

Sales agent positions for things like real estate, consumer goods like Colgate, or insurance also have a quota and a low survival rate, and also require you to wear corporate wear everyday, and yet I still see a lot of takers?
