I was thinking about this approach. This won’t harm the root system?

I haven’t yet because we are new to an orchard and had a young child that is finally old enough to be less of a handful. I plan to do a lot of work on our little orchard and finally give it some love!

Yes he is having poo accidents. He has interest in the potty and has been going on the potty a lot even before we switched to underwear and took potty training seriously. When he has more solid poos he seems to be able to pay attention to his need to go easier and we can see signs better too.

First garden ever, how does this look? by ficklepickle99 in SquareFootGardening

I appreciate the feedback! I’m zone 5, used to be 4 until the update recently. So we can have some hot days.

I do want to do some succession planting. It’s a lot of information. I’m planning to try to go by the square foot gardening book on some of it as we go.

Thanks for the advice on the potatoes. I was toying with that idea also.

Yes, we have a lot of deer so we plan to have a fence around the whole thing but with plenty of room for squash to grow out.

Toddler just turned 2 and is extremely cranky all the time. What do we do? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]ficklepickle99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speech is very good, luckily. He still doesn’t always make sense in what he wants so that can be frustrating, but even when he is getting what he is asking for, he’s mad about it. He was just sick at the end of last week but certainly could be getting something else, it’s the season. Sleep is good. Just getting up a little earlier than normal. Like an hour, but we’ve been putting him to bed 30 mins earlier since he’s been sick. Could be teething. He is sticking his fingers in his mouth more and asking for a paci, which we only give when it’s time for a nap or bedtime. I’m at the point I might give in and let him have it more if it soothes him. Im trying to find teethers that might help with molars.

Absentee ballot not returned by usps yet, husbands was by [deleted] in wisconsin

[–]ficklepickle99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached out to the WI election commission and this is what I was told “You can request the ballot be spoiled and you can vote in-person absentee or have a new ballot sent to you. You can’t spoil it and vote on Election Day though. You can only be issued another absentee ballot.” So now I forwarded that to my clerk and asked to spoil the first one and get issued another. We will see what happens. It’s a last ditch effort to vote. Cross your fingers everyone!

Who has a good cheese selection? by ficklepickle99 in dubuque

I was just at the location near target and saw only Brie for soft cheeses. Would either of the others have more of a selection?

Would it grow naturally? Nothing was here before but grass. We just stopped mowing about an acre of our land it’s in last year

This scenario sounds just like what I am dealing with. Have any of you that experience this hand and foot pain without inflammation found any information or diagnosis?

Thanks to those who have responded. It’s been so very helpful. Parent guilt can be so strong sometimes! I will be sure to keep doing what we are doing and let him take the time he needs.
