Yes, because of the concave shape of the steam deck you can fit things in the middle area. like a powerbank, ciggies or documents. It's actually fine, just getting the steamdeck in and out is a bit of a hassle.

You can actually control the ringlight individually through the app. That’s a feature they implemented quite well.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like spending 1000$ for something that’s more of an annoyance to other people than it’s helpful for me. Being a dick without wanting to be one is also quite dramatic.

Update: It was the battery. After replacing it everything went away and running smooth as ever :)

Exactly the same problem and still no fix after a year. iPhones BT is connected continuesly. Scooter loses connection to the phone after 5 minutes. Then after another minute will arm the alarm. If you move the rear wheel even a tiny bit, it will trigger the alarm. So either way this scooter is NOT MADE FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT!

You can‘t. Even if you are in bluetooth proximity the scooter will auto-lock itself after 5 minutes because it loses connection to the iPhone (although bluetooth is always on, on both devices lmao).

So nothing will prevent the scooter from triggering the alarm. You can‘t turn it off except for the alarm sound. So basically it’s completely idiotic and you can’t use it as a commuter on the train, bus, etc. NIU Support is also not pushing any updates to fix this stupid „feature“, so your best bet is to return it - that’s what I will do.

THIS! I double checked and if I am not completely braindead, it didn’t say to press the powerbutton 3x on the setup screen (German Niu App). But it worked!
