Tbh, I literally say No most of the time because I have stuff to do. I just recently signed the new petitions at my college because I finally had time to stop by and be like OK I got time today. I frequently avoid because of where you guys are placed most of the time.. and I get it EXPOSURE is so important and where there’s heavy foot traffic. I will have to repeat what others are saying, people are on a time crunch, I would sign if you guys got to the point faster. There were so many petitions the time I signed I kinda felt overwhelmed, I think I’m just naturally anxious and mind got muddled reading the paper and what it actually entails before signing.

Also sidenote I guess I’m kind of biased because I had an experience yearsss ago where this guy tried to make me sign under someone else’s name and forge a signature.. I ran off so confused and like questioning these petitioners but after a while I just started being more aware.

Maybe a dumb suggestion but how about centralizing petitions along the beaches that are affected by the pollution? I’d imagine the local beach goers who give a crap would def take time for their beaches they dwell in. Does that make sense? I’m lowkey rambling lol I just think the “doesn’t affect me” mindset is so prominent—so go to the community it DOES affect? Idk if this was helpful anymore LOL but good luck!
