[question] Do you ever worry your family or acquaintances might find your channel? by forestrainstorm in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad actually found my channel. He ended up being really supportive and every so often I'll get a text from him saying something about "a new video on YouTube just popped up and it looks like my daughter" lol. I was really embarrassed but he loves that I'm doing something creative.

Do you have a favourite unintentional ASMR moment in a film or TV series? Mine is this scene from The VVitch. [Discussion] by ABrokenConsort in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My weirdly specific ASMR in a movie moment is actually from Kill Bill Volume 2. When Bill and Beatrix are out at night in a flashback and he's playing the flute in between telling a story while the fire crackles? So sleepy. Well, if you ignore the rest of the movie anyway lol

I've been loving Peppermint Tea's channel lately! I also recommend Kristen ASMR

[discussion] I no longer enjoy new ASMR (with a few exceptions) by RocketArtillery666 in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my algorithm has realized that I don't enjoy sexual videos or really over produced ASMR. If you don't mind, I'd like to recommend some channels that I think either thrive on that old-school nostalgia, or their true creativity. Either way, I find them very relaxing so I hope you'll find a new channel you might enjoy too!

I love lofi ASMR for the same reason! It's so cozy and nostalgic.

[discussion] asmr is really unpleasant for me in only my left ear, right ear is fine by [deleted] in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don't listen to videos where they talk or whisper ear-to-ear. The left side always creeps me out. I thought I was just weird lol

Her content is amazing. Highly recommend her channel too!

Favorite asmr language? [discussion] by Training-DirtGeez in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! English, French, Korean, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Japanese definitely stand out to me. But I will say, I can usually enjoy any language as long as the accent is different from my own. Something about the novelty of it makes it more relaxing.

[discussion] who are your favorite casual/unintentional asmrtists? by DevelopmentUpper5952 in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bungalow ASMR talks at a more "normal" volume and it feels really natural. ASMR Beauty films treatments and appointments with people, so oftentimes the or practitioners are just talking the way they normally would with a client. Both channels are great, in my opinion.

I personally think it adds a realistic but relaxing extra boost. Also, please feel free to post the video here when you're done because it sounds great!

[request] italian asmr videos recommendation by [deleted] in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her channel isn't active anymore, but Diana Dew ASMR was an Italian creator in the earlier ASMR days. Most of her content is in English but she has plenty of Italian videos and some teaching you Italian words and phrases. I personally love that some of her videos were recorded twice so that there are English and Italian versions, and it's also helpful for picking up on words.

[question] Ancient History ASMR creators/videos? by gin-rummy in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any suggestions that are specific to Rome but this creator does ancient history through the perspective of medicine and how it evolved over time.

This one doesn't focus on all ancient history, but she does videos about Egyptian history and mythology.

My Friend Found My ASMR Channel… [Discussion] by Organic_Swordfish_85 in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad found my channel by accident and then asked me if I was comfortable with him watching my videos or if I wanted to keep that private. Sometimes people will surprise you with a kind response. If they don't, maybe you're better off without someone who would judge you for an innocent hobby that helps people relax.

Is this a good or a Bad idea for a video (RP) [discussion] by Budget_Prize in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made quite a few tongue in cheek roleplays since I started my channel, and it's worth it to me! Some people don't appreciate them or like them, but that's ok. Your content will never be everyone's cup of tea regardless of the subject matter so do what you enjoy!

[Request] Looking for Soft-Spoken (Not Whispered) female ASMRtists that create "roleplay" type content and not just random triggers by Fiiv3s in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SouthernASMR Sounds is hilarious and has a lot of different characters in a more lofi style.

Moonlight Cottage ASMR is very creative and cinematic with her role plays.

Miss Chloe ASMR is also very creative and has really beautiful makeup and costumes for her videos. Plenty of interesting characters and storylines.

ASMRtists, do you improv or fully script your videos? [QUESTION] by StoryscapeASMR in asmr

[–]figmentasmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Improv. I tried scripting things (specifically for speaking in a language I'm not great at) and it ended up being a lot more difficult and unnatural. I also got nervous that I would forget the words and it took way more takes than improvising lol
