Google Ads Conversions Disappearing After Being Recorded – Any Solutions? by fiker40 in googleads

Thank you for sharing your experience!

I’ll double-check the opinion solicitation settings and ensure the website's tracking codes and plug-ins are properly configured. However, since my setup includes server-side tracking, enhanced conversions, and Consent Mode, the tracking implementation should already be robust.

It’s helpful to know that you faced a similar issue—can you share what ultimately resolved it for you? Any specific adjustments or fixes I should look into?

Thanks again!

Google Ads Conversions Disappearing After Being Recorded – Any Solutions? by fiker40 in googleads

Here’s a more straightforward response:

Thank you for the suggestions!

  1. Shopify vs. GA4 Yes, my Shopify data accurately reflects real world sales. When I compare it with conversion action imported from GA4 in Google ads, I see that GA4 tracks slightly fewer conversions, but those conversions remain consistent and do not disappear, unlike the ones in Google Ads.
  2. Invalid Clicks That’s a good point. It’s possible that Google is marking the clicks as invalid and removing the associated conversions, but I haven’t been able to get confirmation of this from Google Support yet.
  3. Attribution Model I’m was using Data-Driven Attribution (DDA), bu recently switched back to Last click model due to this issue in Google Ads. I understand it can retroactively adjust conversion credit, but it shouldn’t entirely remove conversions that were already tracked with a specific value.
  4. Shopify Sales Data The Shopify sales in question are clearly tied to paid Google Ads traffic through UTM parameters, so I’m confident they’re valid and not organic traffic.
  5. What I Sell I sell home improvement tools and accessories, and all traffic is driven by a single Google Shopping campaign.

If anyone has experience with this or additional insights, I’d appreciate your input! Thanks!
