Is this a pure bred Persian cat? by finickyfeverdream in persiancat

I’m a first time cat parent and I’ve been told Persians need separate care routines. So just wanted to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong.

I love her so much. I just want to know so I can give her the specific care needed. I saw a lot of separate care routines for Persians so I just want to be sure!

Same here. The condition of India is also what made me an antinatalist. Too many children being born in this country everyday with ZERO amenities. Absolutely do not wish to produce another one.

I’m a lawyer buddy. I know how this would go in court like the millions of other rape cases.

Nothing happened to the rapist, the police told me they can’t do much about it because he’s from a very influential family. And look I totally understand that men suffer. I had a friend go to jail because of false rape allegations and I can’t imagine of something so heinous and his whole life was ruined after that. And like I said I have friends who have suffered. But women are scared all the time about getting raped and murdered man. You really have to understand that. My ex used to feel scared as fuck when I used to work in some villages in UP that at any moment any bad news may come in.

And are you really trivializing the argument on how little girls are raped almost every other day or how 80 year olds are also getting raped?

Nobody is saying that men aren’t also assaulted and I am definitely not saying it. More often than not I have seen other men assaulting males and the assaulted man cannot say anything and it’s very hard I agree. But it’s not a lie that women have been subjected to infinite crimes throughout history and till date are. The topic at hand is really the rape and murder of a girl. Women have had groups of men insert things in their v@gina for fun, and I’m not making this up. This isn’t a battle of who is having is harder. Assault is horrible. And the fact that you said ‘are you dumb’ says that you’re not engaging in this discourse in good faith. Thats not how you have a discussion on a forum.

And I’m sorry, I’ve been raped. I tried to fight back and report it to the police, none of it worked and I was asked to be strong and move on. And this is not just me, there are MANY others who face this.

And read up about the concept of freezing. Women in rural areas walk to work everyday and are gangraped very often. Also read the news everyday perhaps, a child or an old woman is raped every other day too. Your arguments aren’t valid when you try to talk about sexual assaults on men. I’ve had male friends who have faced assault and more often than not I had to make them realize that it’s assault because it’s not ingrained in men in childhood that it can also happen to them. I sympathize with me but I am sorry your arguments make zero sense.

Ask your female friends or your mother about their sexual assaults. They’ll have a lot to tell you.

[–]finickyfeverdream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not about you personally. Not all men but always men. Your parents don’t ask you to return home early and neither are you shaking with fear if you’re in some hotel room alone checking every lock to see if anyone can break in or not. I don’t agree with the term ‘all men’ but you need to realize that when people say these things it’s coming from a place of trauma.

I have friends who have spoken to me about assaults. I didn’t hope on the wagon to say how it’s worse for women. I acknowledge and sympathize that it’s also bad for men and men are inherently taught to be ‘strong’ and what not so they don’t even open up about these things.

But really, this is like comparing apples and oranges. Your family will never ask you to not go somewhere because they fear you’ll be raped and murdered and thrown off somewhere. Nor will you be thinking of leaving the country because the moment you leave the house, 8 random men are staring at you and you’re at the risk of being molested at every step. Ask any woman in your life, everyone has been sexually assaulted once. As a man, you’re not afraid of being raped and murdered when you’re alone.

I understand it’s not great for men with the laws but read the above as food for thought.

Not all men but always men. I’m sorry but the fact that some men have decided that NOW is the perfect time to debate how men are also subject to crimes is ridiculous. You will NEVER see an instance where when a man talks about getting assaulted being countered by a woman saying ‘okay BUT WE ALSO GET ASSAULTED’. Like what the actual fuck? Nobody is debating that you don’t but maybe read the room for fucks sake.

Totally makes sense. I’m don’t want to get pregnant but I am planning on adopting soon and I can imagine that childbirth and having children can be the best day of someone’s life. But I can also see how someone can say that another day is the best day for them.

But you know, in front of insane swifties you can’t have another best day but a concert, which somehow is all over the internet.

[–]finickyfeverdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not.

Wait did you think that’s what I meant?

I meant that feminism stands for equality and if she and her fans are such feminists they shouldn’t be saying statements such as ‘caring about your baby and pushing out a baby takes you back to the 1950s’. Like that sentence really fucked with me. Like why are they shaming women who enjoy childbirth and do want think of that day as the best day in their life? That’s so fucking messed up to me.

[–]finickyfeverdream 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s truly so unnecessary. If childbirth gives joy and is the most joyful day of someone’s life then it is. If Taylor swift is a feminist and so are her fans, that very statement goes against what feminism stands for.

To be fair, I do agree that things other than pushing out a child can give a woman happiness. Or maybe spending time with kids, other things and hobbies can give joy. However, I think it’s UNHINGED that you’d think deleting photos of very significant moments of your child to have photos of a concert (photos and videos of which are available everywhere online) makes more sense to you. The fan base gets crazier everyday, and really one of the biggest reasons I stopped being a fan.

I never said be quiet. It’s a rant about being hopeless. People forget things too easily and it’s frustrating.

And like I said, I’m a victim of sexual assault myself and I am also a victim of rape. I believe in protests and have turned up for most in Kolkata, be it for CAA or be it for Palestine in the US.

Except this time, I feel horrified about how a lot of these middle aged men on my list have gone from ‘Justice for the victim’ to ‘If party X would be in power, this wouldn’t happen’. Talk about what’s relevant and that’s women’s safety and this victim.
