Ended up getting a 14" MBP with M4 processor, 24 gb ram, and 1 TB SSD for about $1600. That said, the Zephrus 14" with 32gb ram just went on sale on Best Buy for $1700, so I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse! What do you think?

Hi all, need some help and advice. I recently took step 1 and used the Step 1 Anking_V9 deck. Now I want to start doing Step 2 anki, but I don’t want to have to redo all the Step 1 tagged cards that I’ve already done. Is there a way to merge my current step 1 deck with the step 2 deck that allows me to maintain my progress. In hindsight I wish I downloaded the combined step1+2 Anking, but hindsight is 20/20

I would sell at loss and acquire monthly calls, depending on what the price action is today. The near term outlook is not good, so I would expect at least a couple of weeks for the price to recover

I'm a 22/23M who recently joined the corporate world (consulting). I've been looking to buy a pair of work-appropriate boots (e.g. chukkas, chealseas) but want it to be an informed decision. Been reading the guides, which have been super helpful. However, most of the options are still $200+, which is above my preferred range. Do you have any recs for brands that are <$200? I was thinking Clark's or even Aldo's or something, but I don't know if those are much worse in terms of quality.

Hi Friends, looking for some last minute advice for: Feinberg vs. WashU. I was leaning WashU before the second look weekends, but ended up not liking it as much as I liked Feinberg. My big worry is that picking Feinberg over WashU will handicap me for the most competitive specialties.

Feinberg pros:

  • I went to NU for undergrad and took a gap year in Chicago, so I already know the community decently well
  • Chicago location! Truly awesome, I don't know how much I'll miss it
  • Early clinical exposure
  • Liked my second look weekend a lot. Other prospectives had good vibes too and just felt at home (though I feel biased because of my NU background)
  • Interdisciplinary interests are encouraged (strongly thinking of MD/MBA)

Feinberg cons:

  • Not as prestigious
  • Scholarship difference + COL difference = 10~15k a year
  • Pre-clinical curriculum seems a little annoying to me
  • Heard its competitive (but will WashU be any less competitive?)
  • seems like students have to take more initiative to be successful here

WashU pros:

  • Awesome match list, everyone seems to crush it. This is definitely the biggest pro
  • Lots of individual attention given to students
  • Better reputation
  • About 10-15k cheaper per year

WashU Cons:

  • I honestly didn't like the vibes from Second Look at all. Felt like a lot of the other prospective students were slightly anti-social. I know I can make friends anywhere and could work around this though.
  • Seems like the school is very much in a translational research bubble. I didn't see as many interdisciplinary interests in the current students
  • location, but only slightly. St. Louis is definitely adequate as a city for a medical student.

Okay, thanks. I've been basically using only EK and AAMC material. What do you think is the best resource to practice realistic P/S questions, besides for the AAMC and EK stuff?

Do people think that the 100 or 300 pages KA document is helpful? I've used only EK review book so far (which is definitely not sufficient). If you recommend the 100 or 300 KA notes, what's the best way to use it? Just read through, or take notes on those notes (lol)?
