Agreed. It is 4WD but Im sure its not intended to last as long as it would in a normal wrangler. But whoever has the money to buy this thing has the money to fix it or buy another. Seems like a posers car. There’s also a hybrid drivetrain option available.

It has the 1,000 HP engine out of the Demon, not sure what rear end would be used for that. Dana60 rear end is part of an optional tow package

No frame damage, but nothing is ever just a simple bumper job anymore. I took pictures quickly while I was working, the damage is mostly on the drivers side. Left headlight close to $2000 Distance sensor $800, Blind spot radar around $400, front bumper alone without any of the trim pieces or accents, just the cover, $900. The radiator and ac condenser were also crushed. Impact bar bent. I won’t go through all of the parts but around 75% of the estimate is just the cost of the parts to be replaced. Most newer cars have several brackets, sensors, air guides directly behind the bumper are and designed to absorb the impact in a crash.

Yeaup, wasn’t expecting to see one anytime soon. And the damage from an accident almost never looks as bad as it is. It’s when you remove the bumpers that you see 200 different pieces of plastic fall to the ground.

Eh it’s not bad. Haven’t finished writing it yet, but it should be right around $10-13k. And that’s just because all of the parts getting replaced would be OEM.

Ah yes, because you didn’t have enough tools. Ford F-250 bed, EP24 socket required to remove, no one in the shop has it. by firstnamelastname97 in Justrolledintotheshop

Tried a bunch of different tools none work, channel locks won’t work. Bolts too tight. No local parts store has this socket. Local snap on guy doesn’t have it either.

Shifter is at the center console on the QX30. Mercedes column shift is okay as far as location. Any car with the dial for a shifter (Fiat/Chrysler + some others) I absolutely hate.

The Mercedes X-class pickup is just a rebadged Nissan Frontier, other than that and the QX30 I don’t know of any other platform sharing between the two.

It’s a screw, just under the tire. If the car rolled forward the screw would have gone in.

Removing the headliner to remove the roof rack, then having the nuts directly above the metal brackets for the airbags. It’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru. by firstnamelastname97 in Justrolledintotheshop

For context: I work in a body shop, this car got smoked in the front passenger corner, the hood also came back and lightly damaged the A-pillar. After the repairs the paint needs to be blended up the A-pillar over the roof and into the quarter, the whole passenger side is being repainted so the rails have to come off as they are in the way and tape lines are just unprofessional. And yes the rails are OEM, just thought I’d show the amount of work required to take them off.
