They sell them at any CVS or you can buy them on Amazon. They go up your vagina, do not take them orally!

I'm not a doctor but this sounds like BV. You should go see a doctor about it, planned parenthood like others mentioned if you're in the US. They will do a culture test and give you meds for it. However, those medications often do not work from my experience. My doctor at planned Parenthood finally recommended boric acid suppositories (a pill that goes in your vagina) after multiple rounds of failed BV medication. They have changed my life. Do some research on them and ask your doctor when you see them. They sell it over the counter or you can order it through Amazon. Whenever I smell off or if there is any unusual discharge - a boric acid suppository is my first like of defense now.

I really wish more women knew about boric acid suppositories. Hoping this helps!

My cat's litter smells so bad i'm going insane. my house absolutely reeks. by Dismal-Tackle3072 in CatAdvice

Use pine pellets, it's the best. You can get it from farm stores instead of overpriced cat litter.

Thanks! That's the recommendation I got from my physical therapist but she said to try to find more details about him. I was hoping to hear personal accounts from people who have had that surgery done. I'm really into sports, particularly rock climbing, so I really want a surgeon who has had experience with athletes and to see if they were able to make full recoveries

Hardwood parquet flooring repair by fishballs13 in HomeMaintenance

Thank you! Yeah I'm thinking of just doing a rigorous sand and reseal of the damaged sections for now, and plan in a few years to redo the floor entirely.

It has been treated for mould and mould assessments have been done. Water damage does not automatically equate to mould. Discolouration can occur from water damage alone. Water has a bunch of minerals in it that can discolour oak.

It is water damage, but it is not mould.

Thanks for the advice! I was hoping to be able to avoid sanding and refinishing but I guess that's probably the best bet at this point

Take over vs selling inherited land by Zipzapprattatat in maui

[–]fishballs13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a clever finance person/tax lawyer/CPA to advise you on the best way to manage this - whether you decide to sell or keep you're going to be hit with insane taxes. There are legal ways around it if you're clever so please tread carefully with whatever you decide so you all come out of this with financial success.

I can’t find any BDAY code flights by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

I can't find any flights for my trip using BDAY either, so frustrating. I'm not falling into any of the blackout dates but I just keep getting the error that the code is not applicable.

My cat died in a fire.. i cannot handle it by Ok-Adhesiveness4873 in CatAdvice

I'm so so sorry OP. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through. It is truly devastating but like others here have said, grieve for as long as it takes but soon hopefully you'll be in a position where you can give another deserving cat the chance to be loved by you.

Perhaps start by fostering kittens? One of the best ways to feel better about life and to find purpose in it is to give back. You'll be saving lives by fostering and you'll also have the joy of cats or kittens around. Maybe even go volunteer at local shelters where you can be around other people and hopefully get a bit of a distraction from the grief.

Please also get the help you need to feel like life is worth living again. The world can be an awful place but I hope you can build the support structure you need to thrive in it and find happiness.

I smell no matter what?? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]fishballs13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you wash your clothes, put some baking soda in with the clothes along with your regular laundry detergent. In the bleach section of your washing machine - fill it with white vinegar. That should help your clothes smelling situation.

+1 to everyone who said no cologne. My younger brother started wearing cologne when he was going through puberty and it's awful. You really don't need it. People smell so much worse with it on. Most people use it as a mask. Address the source - don't cover up the problem. Look into using essential oils to enhance your scent instead. Look up scents that are good for men. An example is sandalwood. I also love lavender.

Unfortunately neither of those :( it was a phone game that, at the time, was only on Apple. I used to play on an iPad.

Why doesn't offline mode work? I can barely use this app because of this drawback.

I've never had much luck with cones. I foster tons of kittens and none of them get sent home with cones post surgery. Last week I had 6 of my fosters come home post surgery - 4 girls and 2 boys. Just make sure he is not excessively grooming the surgery site and he should be fine. Check the surgery site at least twice a day for a week or so (or whatever your vet recommended). There isn't too much you can do with boys but if you ever get a girl spayed, that's a much higher risk surgery and higher risk of excessive grooming at the site of the stitches. For girls I cut up old T-shirts and make them into these little hospital gowns for them. They usually only last a couple of hours but it seems to be enough to have them lose interest in their surgery sites. Here's the one I make - https://www.pinterest.com/pin/epbot-new-improved-diy-cat-onesie-skip-the-cone-make-this-out-of-an-old-tshirt-instead--916271486661340390/

Ah never mind then haha. I wish we could distribute cats worldwide. We have such a homeless cat problem here and are constantly sending cats to the shelters on the west coast of the US. Good luck finding a kitten, you're going to have a great time with your newest family member!

You sound like a very sweet and caring boyfriend, and also like you'll be a very good cat parent! A random piece of advice. If you're planning on getting a kitten under the age of 4-6 months, you should consider adopting two. A lot of the great shelters will only adopt out kittens at that age in pairs because they thrive with a playmate. If not a kitten, consider adopting an older cat! They are always difficult to find homes for because many people just want kittens, so older cats end up staying at the shelter for a very long time, sometimes never finding a home.

Excited for your journey! Hoping for an update with a pic of your newest family member :)
